Hmmm, looks like most of the conservatives are voting for Perry, while the 'RINO's' and libs lean more towards Kinky. What a shock, the Perry-bashers here have another of their myths shot down:

Conservatives: 57% P(erry), 21% K(inky), 12% S(trayhorn...), 7% B(ell)

Moderates: 32% B, 24% K, 23% P, 19% S

Liberals: 46% B, 25% K, 14% S, 6% P

Reformated:

Perry supported by 57% of conservatives, 23% of moderates, 6% of libs

Kinky supported by 21% of conservatives, 24% of moderates, 25% of libs

Strayhorn... supported by 12% of conservatives, 19% of moderates, and 14% of libs

Bell supported by 7% of conservatives, 32% of moderates, 46% of libs

"GWB was a puppet for the Rangers...nothing more than to bring in a few bucks and get Texas Legislature to change eminent domain laws so Arlington politicians could steal property for a stadium. That's the real scoop."

So..you call all CEO's and talented salesmen 'puppets'?...lol
Arlington faced very little opposition to the stadium and very few eminent domain issues.

And I've also fell into Texas lore about governors and reelection since I see John Connally was elected in 1962 and again in 1966.

Maybe it was Bush was the first since 1966 that won back to back reelections.

This so-called "twit" was born and raised in Texas. I'm not an oil business failure like your demi-god GWB. In all probablilty I know more about Texas and Texas politics than you will ever know. BTW, I live in Indiana only part time...the majority of time is spent on the ranch in North Central Texas. (BTW...I've known the Bush family since the 60's).

You my friend are not a conservative. No conservative in their right mind believes money is the solution for education. That is a propaganda spew straight from the teacher's unions. John Stossel just did an excellent expose on the myth of 'more money'...check it out. Also Ann Colter dispel's the mythology of higher teacher salaries in her newest book 'Godless'...lol

Fortunately, I don't depend on Ann Coulter or John Stossel for my opinions. I have my own.

OF COURSE money is the solution to the problem. In order to get the best performance for people, you must spend money. Did you know of all the major 4-year degrees, Education is in the bottom 10% in terms of salary? What kind of engineers or accountants or programmers would this nation have if they got crap pay?

Who are the best teachers in the country? The ones who teach at private schools.

I bet you support the money we spend on the military, so I'm thinking you selectively support big government spending. That's fine, because I feel the same. We should spend as much money as we need on two things: defense, and education.

I don't live in Texas but I was very impressed with Perry during Katrina and also during his own hurricane, Rita.

What engineers and doctors work 7 hours a day and get the entire summer off?

If Texas actually elects Kinky your state will be a real laughing stock in the country.

If you think teachers put in only 7 hours a day, you truly have no clue.

In the days when Texas governors had two year terms, Preston Smith and Dolph Briscoe won reelection. Bill Clements served two terms, 1979-83 and 1987-91, which were not consecutive. Rick Perry filled out George Bush's term and won reelection on his own in 2002.

No doubt there are dedicated teachers all over this country that put in countless hours teaching our children..but they are the exception and not the rule.

Why? It's not like we're electing a rich son of an oil man ivy-league middle-aged playboy who slacked off half his life.

Why does it have to be one of the two extremes?

Many, many, many teachers put in their 8 hours a day at the office, plus extra hours at home, just like most middle-class white collar families. I just think they should get the pay due a profession that requires 4-6 years of college and many hours outside the office.
