Democrats’ Endorsement of a Radical Black Muslim for Congress Called a “Security Threat” by Black Leader

LOS ANGELES- Democratic candidate and black Muslim Keith Ellison’s victory in last Tuesday’s Democratic primary in Minnesota has positioned him to become the first Muslim ever elected to Congress. Ellison’s selection to represent the heavily Democratic fifth district has caught the attention of Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, founder and president of BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, who says that he is disturbed that Democrats have endorsed a “radical black Muslim with ties to a racist extremist group to join Congress in a post 9-11 era.”

“The Democratic Party has no shame. Democrats supported Jim Crow and segregationist Bull Connor. Democrats elected Robert Byrd (D-WV), an unapologetic ex-Klansman to the Senate. Now they’re backing a black Muslim with ties to Louis Farrakhan. Who will they elect next?” said Rev. Peterson.

Keith Ellison’s campaign and his support from Democrats has garnered national attention because of Ellison’s controversial past and association with the Nation of Islam. Ellison, who is favored to beat his Republican opponent, has called for an immediate U.S. withdrawal from Iraq. Ellison has also called for the impeachment of President George W. Bush; and he supports reparations for slavery.

Rev. Peterson said, “The issue is not Ellison’s religious affiliation, the issue is his extremist agenda and ties to domestic enemies. This is an irresponsible and dangerous precedent being set by Democrats at a time when our nation is engaged in a bloody war with Islamic terrorists abroad.”

Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson is the author of “SCAM: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America.” For more information, visit www.bondinfo.org

Here we go folks.....this is just another step in their grand plan. Populate, gain power, influence laws while at the same time steering the country in question towards Islam. With their receiving of aid from our socialist party the future looks quite interesting.

I'm sure the Dims already have him lined up for his committee appointments: Armed Services, Homeland Security, Commerce, International Relations, Judiciary, Ways and Means, Intelligence, National Security......they'll pick the "best" ones for him.

They don't call them Rats for nothing. On the other hand, maybe it's unfair to compare Dems to rats. It's an insult to rats.

The author of Minnesota Democrats Exposed, Michael Brodkorb, posted articles that appeared in the University of Minnesota student newspaper in 1989 and 1990 under the name of Keith Hakim. One piece was a defense of the Nation of Islam's leader, Louis Farrakhan. The other called for reparations for African-Americans, as well as a new black nation to be created from Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Mr. Brodkorb said Keith Hakim was a name Mr. Ellison used while a law student at the University of Minnesota. Mr. Ellison later acknowledged to reporters that he wrote the articles.

Keith Ellison didn't sound very Islamic to me. Wonder why he isn't proudly using his Islamic name?

He unequivocally condemned Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist groups, a position that few politically active members of the American Muslim community have been willing to take. However, he recently appeared at a Muslim-organized fund-raiser for his campaign at which a leader of the Council on American-Islamic Relations spoke.

Isn't he a nation of islam "muslim" and not the traditionalist muslim? From what I know NOI and black muslims who follow farrakhan do not even follow the traditional korean, their teachings are based on some whacked out theories about ufo's and racist whites. Yea, they're all gutter as far as I'm concerned.

By this alone this man is a racist and a menace to society. If he is accepted by other mainstream muzzies, then they too are stupid as dirt.

"We have all seen by the Congressional Black Caucus and its members that blacks would vote for dog poop if it was black. the fact that this one is Muslim isnt why he was voted in. He was voted in because he was black his being a muslim didnt enter the equation."

Well, only 13% of residents of the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota (and probably no more than 10% of its voters) are black, so this wasn't merely a "black pride" thing. Democrats in Minneapolis liked the fact that this guy was a Black Muslim and waved away any claim to his affiliation with Farrakhan's Nation of Islam, CAIR and other hate groups.

If only you knew. There are still idiots with Wellstone signs in their yards. These are undoubtedly the same whackjobs who thought SLA terrorist/ squad car bomber Sarah Jane Olson should have been let off the hook.

Wouldn't surprise me if many of them think Wellstone's death was no accident, too.

Are you a Minnesotan?

I ask because on another thread they're saying that Muslim cab drivers at the airport in Minneapolis are refusing fares who they think may be carrying alcohol!

I've been there and I have the impression that most of the cabbies are Somali Muslims.

In Minneapolis, it's not just the mush headed DUers that buy into that kind of conspiracy theory claptrap.

Just this morning, I was told that one of the founders of a very well-known, international clients type, ad agency is a Wellstone tinfoiler. Of course 99% of the U of M profs believe that cr*p too. It proves you can be intelligent on paper and still be as dumb as a rock.

Ellison is also being supported with gala benefits held by the wealthy and influential Kaplan family. And yes, they're Jewish. It just takes my breath away!

Muslims have more rights in Minneapolis than legal, law-abiding smokers do.

And no, that is not an exaggeration. PC is taken to an extreme which I could never have imagined when I moved there 20 years ago. Everything in that city is upside down and backwards, thanks in no small part to the socialist boy mayor RT Rybak.

Glad I got out to the countryside. :)
