It was a setup all the time. Chirac new we'd push it in the security council and he played us until the right time to change course. Time to start tossing the wine and cheese again.
Ditto
They actually have some nice colonies, like Polynesia, New Caledonia, and some islands in the Indian ocean which would be useful as transit points to the Gulf. Those colonies only have brigade or so, sometimes less each to defend them. Send in the Marines.
Oh how sorry France will be some day. It's leader will run out of the city on a rail as well.
If, or more like, when we have to do something retaliatory to the Muslim world....we can always just 'include' France in that retaliation.
Oh wait. You said 'something really ugly'.....
and that would merely be justice, since France has been against the US for quite some time now. (nevermind)
___
I wish we could think of something really ugly to do to France.
The Froggies sold us out. What a suprise!
Oh come on now! Marines?!?!? These are French-type-Froggies we're talking about. How about a troop of Texas Boy Scouts?
We could send them soap. Or razors. Or - GASP! - American wine.
JUST LIKE JOHN KERRY AND HILLARY WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT
Chirac wants a separate PIECE... of the Iranian scumbag free money action.
DO ANY OF YOU REALIZE THAT IT IS NOT A CRIME IN FRANCE FOR THE PRESIDENT TO ACCEPT A BRIBE????
"How about a troop of Texas Boy Scouts?"
Can't use those shock troops, we'll need them for France.
Send a Brownie with cookies.
France can do what it wants, this is what irrelevance is all about.
We didn't honor any of France's deals with Iraq, after we took Saddam down, and we won't honor any of France's deals with Iran after we take down the mullahs either.
France knows this, we already screwed them once, in full view of the world, and right now, they're either bending over for a second round, or else they are...negotiating...for something they want.
I don't mind negotiation, as long as we get something valuable too.
But the bottom line is still the bottom line. Iran will not be...permitted...to achieve an operational military nuclear capability.
France either understands this, or else is headed for their second economic debacle in less than a decade, and I doubt the Chirac government will survive France's next recession.
