Rosie O'Donnell on 'The View' Makes Elisabeth Hasselbeck Cry By Jo Anne Way Sep 19, 2006
Bombastic Rosie O'Donnell has recently been hammered as a bigot for her comments on 'The View' that were incendiary towards Christians. And now a report from the New York Daily News claims that she's making Elisabeth Hasselbeck cry.

Oh the humanity! O'Donnell said during some sort of discussion, "Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America."
***
That brought strong condemnation from the Rev. Rob Schenck, founder of Faith and Action, a Christian ministry on Capitol Hill, and according to EUR Web he responded in a statement:
"Miss O'Donnell's comment was recklessly irresponsible and even dangerous. To equate 'radical Christianity' to mass murder is outrageous. A 'radical Christian' is one who takes his or her faith seriously - a faith that has as one of its primary tenets, 'Blessed are the peacemakers.'"

Rush and Molloy deliver this item in today's column:
The transition from Star Jones to Rosie O'Donnell hasn't been easy at "The View," especially not for Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
"She is crying every day," an insider tells us. "No one can control Rosie, and Elisabeth can't contain her feelings. (anymore) She gets so upset all the time."
Some on-set sources think that Rosie's outwardly liberal views have been upsetting the show's conservative voice.
***
Cue the rep: O'Donnell's spokeswoman denied there have been any tears to the Daily News, and said, "Elisabeth was at Rosie's house this weekend with her daughter, Grace. They might not agree on politics, but that's what makes the show great. Ratings are up 59%."
That can't be good for Rosie's if her PR flack is already citing ratings.

I wouldn't want to get into a debate with O'Donnell...I think she'd be very intimidating. There's something very, very scary about her....and I'm not being facetious. She has an underlying anger (fat, ugly lesbians usually do, and again, I'm not being facetious one bit.)
Rosie O'Dimwit is a POS!
Elisabeth Hasselbeck needs to butch up or go home.

Does this girl cry about everything? She was crying a few weeks ago as well about something said on the show. If she's supposed to be the conservative voice, how about she wipe the tears and set forth some counterarguments to Rosie, et al?

Rosie has some severe emotional issues/problems, you just can't discuss certain things with her.
I know what you mean. But I bet you could slow her down by shoving a giant submarine sandwich in her gaping maw.

Huh?
If ABC really wanted the ratings, they would replace Hasselbeck with Ann Coulter.
Rosie's butch enough for the both of them.
But, I'm sure after days of listening to her you'd probably get in her face, rather than crying about it.
Really. I doubt Ann Coulter would end up the one crying in a Coulter/O-fatty debate.

Yes, she'd definitely be able to handle Rosie w/o resorting to tears.
I would love to get in a debate with her. She would be easy to show as a total asshat. Angry people are the easiest to beat in debate.
Somehow she makesme think of Tony Soprano in drag.
Replace Hasselbeck with Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin. Sheesh!
Now THAT would be a good show.
