My family had the priviledge of spending about 5 mins with Gov. Bush in his office last week. Many of you know that I have been called up to active duty, and will be leaving in just a couple of days. I look forward to posting from the "sandbox". I would like to share these photos from our visit with the Gov. Bush.

God bless you David, and keep you safe as you do your duty, and serve our Republic, including each and every one of us.
May God comfort and keep your family in your absence, and may He hold and protect you in the palm of His hand until you are all reunited.
Again, from our family, each one of us, our heartfelt thanks for your service. I believe, despite some of my reservations of exactly how specifics have been handled, that we are doing exactly the right thing in Iraq and that the vast majority of the people there are glad we are giving them a chance to be free, and that we are facing our common enemy on the ground there, as opposed to here.

I had the privilege of meeting Jeb with my family several years ago. He was delayed by a news conference, so the aide let us sit at his desk and took a picture.
That was one of the great thrills of my life, sitting at the governor's desk with the seal of FL overhead. (it's a beautiful desk).
When he came in, I was so flabbergasted I couldn't say anything but stammer how nice he was to meet with us. He took a big picture and autographed it for us.
I will give him my highest praise, in that I think he is truly a good man.

David,
May our Lord keep you safe. May He comfort your family in your absence. May He bless you for your service.
I met Jeb Bush a few years ago. He told me he prays the rosary everyday. If you are Catholic you will know what an awesome tool of God the rosary is. Especially against Islam. It is said that the Christian victory at The Battle of Lepato was partially due to an appearance of the Virgin Mary. If I remember the Rosary was revealed to St. Dominic during a time of Islam vs Christian conflict.
But I know no matter your denomination God will bless and keep you. He will be at your side and His angels will guard you.

The Rosary was already prayed at the time of LePanto. Pius V asked that it be prayed for victory, and of course we know how that went. Afterwords, the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary was instituted in thanksgiving for God's great mercy. (I attend a Dominican Parish, have for 22 years so the story's been heard several times...)

Thank you for the info. My daily caffeine had not yet hit the bloodstream so I was a bit fuzzy on the details.
