In this week's New Yorker, David Remnick turns in an excellent and truly must-read behind-the-scenes look at Clinton's post-presidential life and travels.
For those interested in all things Clinton, it has Bill Clinton on the record saying things he normally won't say on those terms ("I am sick of Karl Rove's bullshit." and attacking the Washington Post's Sue Schmidt), and talking about presidential politics, including saying John Edwards ran too soon.

I was sick of Bill Clinton's BS for eight years.
I love the way Rove drives the Democrats outta their minds, just by breathing!
And you don't think that people notice how x42 treats the Bush family? It LOWERS him in the esteem of all but those who thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread anyway.
I saw a clip this evening of the Clinton interview by Chris Wallace for this week's FNS. Clinton looses it, big time, so it should be a really interesting Sunday morning. He starts yelling about he tried and failed to get bin laden, but "this adinistration" had 8 months and didn't even try. He knows his reputation, his overreaction shows his guilt, and it should make an interesting sunday talk show thread.
He knows he can get away with Bush bashing because neither 41 nor 43 will ever bash him.
Ditto for the scumbag Carter.
The only thing decent in that roonm is the apple.
"they let us do it again! we pulled the wool one more time! i can't believe it!"
"ah jus' keep gittin' away wit dis s#%t. ah kain't believe it." (that's all that's left of the cheshire cat.)
"i am sick of karl rove's bullsh#t."
there are quite a few people who are sick of billary's bullsh#t. (billary: stupid, adolescent, paternalistic, un-constitutional co-presidency. how frickin' stupid)
I'd never heard of the book until your comment. Thank you. It's been added to my reading list.
