NAIROBI, Kenya An elderly nun shot four times at the Somali hospital where she worked forgave her killers as she lay dying, colleagues said Monday in the wake of a murder that has focused attention on Islamic radicalism in the Horn of Africa country.
Sister Leonella, 65, muttered the words 'I forgive, I forgive' in Italian after being shot three times in the back by gunmen in an apparent execution-style killing, father Maloba Wesonga told The Associated Press at the nun's memorial mass in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Monday.
Her murder the latest slaying of a foreigner in Somalia was not a random attack and could have been sparked by remarks by Pope Benedict XVI about Muslims that have sparked angry reaction from Muslims around the world, added Willy Huber, regional head of the Austrian-funded hospital where Sister Leonella worked.
The killing has once again turned the spotlight on the lawless Horn of Africa nation where a powerful, radical Islamic group, accused of having ties to al-Qaida, have all but wrested control of the country from the weak and factional Somali government.
With it has come a hardline Taliban-style rule complete with public floggings and executions. Its leaders have pledged to wage holy war against an African peacekeeping force which is supposed to arrive early next month to help stabilize the country.

Sister Leonella -- a Lion of Faith.
>>Murdering a pregnant mother and her four daughters, including an infant strapped in a car seat, and then shooting the mother in the belly to kill the unborn baby.<<
That still makes me shudder every time I read it.
You're right, that beats all.
I remember that, terrible.
Religion of pu$$ies.
I hold children sacrosanct, I can't even pollute my mind with the thought of hurting any innocent child. It's like they are so "out of bounds" that I just assume that they aren't even brought into a conversation like this. I guess when you talk about Muslims you have to really go in those dark places to fully understand what they are capable of.
Indeed, I pray that I would have the same strength of faith given the same situation.
This was clearly a brave and unselfish act on the part of Sister Leonella. But as the Sister and many others know/knew *God's* forgiveness is the only thing that really counts and it only comes when the sinner has genuine remorse and vows to avoid such an act in the future.
"I wonder if CAIR has condemned it yet...?"
Oh yeah..............they will.................about the time I get my 3rd set of teeth.
"Murdering a nun, can there even be a lower act a human can do?"
These are the same people that used their woman and children as fronts of their firing positions.
Oh my. Where was this?
And as for Sister Leonella. Like so many others have said, I doubt I could be so forgiving. Today, she is in a better place and will receive the reward she so richly deserves in Christ.
And may God strike down her killers.

I'd say they are equally heinous.
may I guide your attention to the fact that Hitler is hardly able to pass anything on to anybody ?

Gotta blame it on something. As if these murderers need an excuse.
*Spit*
Oh man! She looks like my favorite cousin! (Who probably could've been a nun, she is that good.)
Found this at ABCspews. It was pretty burried though.

Mohammed was a peadophile and a child molester, these are the values that Islamofacism were concieved from.
This cowardly act simply defies comment.
Everytime I think that the Muzzies can't go any lower, they do.
Agree. Adults who have truly given up selfishness for God do seem to have a special place as they have, after all, made life-long sacrifices.
