The Powers that Be wisely decided to dump William Weld, the former liberal governor of Massachusetts, in favor of John Faso, conservative Republican. Now they have turned their backs on him giving a pass to Eliot Spitzer, who wants to run for president one day.
I'm an Upstate New Yorker. We were talking about this the other day. It's a damn good idea.
Note: hit job done on Pirro this weekend by Dicker and the NY Post. However, today, there was one very brief mention of Cuomo's disgusting divorce from Kerry Kennedy. I have written several letters to the NY Post asking them why they are carrying water for Hillary, Spitzer, Cuomo, et al. and they refuse to publish them. Also read: If Callahan had money (which of course, the RINOS won't raise forhim) he would be able to defeat Hevesi. But they prefer to lose.
Doesn't Ruppert Murdock own the NYPost, as well as FoxNews, and Murdock had a fund raiser for Hillary, so that tells us something.
Dicker criticizes both sides, and he might be a good person to e-mail if you have an important point to make. He usually answers his e-mails, too. His e-mail can be found on wrow.com
Newest polls as of this morning show that John Faso went up 5 points in the polls.
I'm voting for Faso. I think the GOP is going nuts these days.
We've already kissed ours goodbye--schumer and hill.
I'll drink to that! (Pepsi, of course--smile.)
The GOP in this state is pathetic: Andrew Cuomo as Attorney General? And look how the "conservative" NY Post keeps going after Pirro and ignores - ignores John Faso's candidacy against Spitzer - when Fred Dicker isn't ripping him (Faso) to shreds, of course. And let's not forget the blogger from urbanelephants who did his best to attack and belittle Faso. He has since been kicked off the site but the damage was done - went into the hands of Democratic operatives. With Republicans like these RINOs, who needs Democrats?
That is pathetic. I heard a rumor that a Republican RINO will replace Minarik. Just what we need: another Roy Goodman type!
After Hevevi's crimes, Callahan and Faso should go up as well as Pirro. If somebody had given Callahan some money for commercials, they would be airing now and Hevesi would be FINISHED.
I know some people who have had dealings with him and they say he is very nasty. At any rate, he is being a real hit man on the GOP - at least on those members who don't deserve it, such as Faso and Pirro. I am sick of hearing about Al Pirro. And Dicker ignores Andrew's awful divorce from Kerry Kennedy.
I think it was Callahan who went up - but if Faso did as well, that is some good news.
You're right. NY state is a mess. Trouble is, Cuomo and Spitter will probably win and we'll be even worse off.
Marc Levin "Vote for Spitzer and watch him ruin the State - he will raise taxes and drive business out". If only other people were listening to that message!
I don't like Pirro's politics, and I'm still not sure if I'll hold my nose and vote for her. Pirro is pro-partial birth abortion, but might have changed her position for political reasons.
Cuomo is worse, though.
This from my e-mail from John Faso:
"Please contact all of
your family, friends and neighbors and share our message with them. Send them to
our website: www.johnfaso.com where they can learn how we
would slash income taxes by 25 percent; erase capital gains taxes to jump-start
investment; reduce property taxes on homeowners; and much more. See our recent tv
ad at: http://www.johnfaso2006.com/LIGHTBULB_APPROVAL4.wmv
The alternative is
more of the same: high taxes, more out-of-control state spending, and giveaways
to special interests that force our families to flee New York. Please see
www.spitzerspending.com to see what
this means for you."
I REALLY like the part about slashing income tax by 25%.
It was the Siena poll that had Faso up by 5 points since last month - wish there were more time, since Faso has the momentum.
