Somali cleric urges muslims to kill Pope

September 16, 2006, 1 day, 7 hours and 22 minutes ago.

By Zimgreats. com

Johannesburg (AND) Sheikh Abubukar Hassan Malin, a muslim cleric in the Somali Islamic Courts has urged muslims to kill Pope Benedict XVI after the later made controversial comments about the Islamic faith.

Malin equated the latest controversial comments by the Roman Catholic Church Pope to Salman Rushdie's novel "The Satanic Verses". Rushdie was sentenced to death after the release of his book and has been living in hiding ever since.

Malin said the Pope had to be punished for insulting Prophet Mohammed (the Islamic faith’s spiritual leader) and Allah.

"We urge you Muslims wherever you are to hunt down the Pope for his barbaric statements as you have pursued Salman Rushdie, the enemy of Allah who offended our religion," Malin was quoted in the local media as having said during his Friday prayers.

"Whoever offends our Prophet Mohammed should be killed on the spot by the nearest Muslim," added Malin whose Islamic Courts recently took over much of Somalia and introduced Sharia law.

The furore stems from the Pope’s comments at a lecture on Tuesday in which he denounced links between Islam and violence. The pope further quoted a 14th-century Byzantine emperor who said innovations introduced by the Prophet Mohammed were "evil and inhuman."

There was no immediate comment from Rome, where the Pointiff is based.

"If Mainstream Islam wishes to counter negative views of them, they should take a stand with us to root out and destroy those that have high-jacked and turned their religion into one of hate and violence."

islam has not been highjacked, this is what islam has always been about! islam is undergoing a reformation, a return to the basics of the creed.
Don't take my word for it, read the koran and a history of mohammed's (CBUH) life for yourself.

Male Muslims have the strength of a newborn kitten. They feel they must murder anyone who even questions their faith. They beat their wives into submission and if that doesn't work, they will mutilate their genitalia.

"Mohammed must be a insecure, weak and petty figure if he is offended so much."

How serious is this? It seems like so many people are just overlooking what these people are doing. Now is the time to shut-up these nut cases. I think about all the mosques that are being built around where I live. And they are rich and drive big cars and live in fortress like homes slightly outside of the communities here. Who has ever looked inside of these mosques that are all around us? I heard that it is against their religion to let anyone in their mosques. I tried to find out at one place around here and was told that I couldn't look around unless I could prove that I was a member. Time for a raid!!!!

For everyone interested we should flood CAIR with calls, letters, and e-mails demanding they apologize for the shooting of the nun, and they should rebuke formally their violent Islamic members.

To all who would like to protest, the address is listed below. Be careful not to let the burning Islamic flags accidently burn down the building. That would just be wrong.

Re post 22. I would like to agree with you, but the last time a muslim tried to assassinate a pope, nothing happened.

So true. People seem to forget about the incident with the vendors at the temple. Jesus didn't just chastise them. He created a scene that they wouldn't forget.

i have been reading the posts between that other guy and yourself. i think maybe he is on some similar thread in a parallel universe, but has accidentally crossed over.
in the other universe, you have probably been using profane moral relativism in your posts.
i hope that makes everything all clear!

"This religious leader has objected to the reading of a quote that implied his religion uses violence to spread itself, by asking that his religious followers kill the person who read the quote - in the name of his religion."

Cognitive dissonance strikes again!

0n May 13,1981, Mehmet Ali Agca, an escaped murderer from Turkey, raised a pistol above his head in the piazza in front of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City and shot and wounded Pope John Paul 11. Captured at the scene by Italian police, he freely admitted firing the shots and was tried and sentenced to life imprisonment. Mr. Agca had previously confessed to the political assassination of a well-known newspaper editor in Istanbul and in February 1979 he had threatened in a letter to kill Pope John Paul II, whom he accused of being "the Commander of the Crusades" against Islam. So, investigating agencies and the media quickly concluded that he acted as a lone fanatic when he shot the Pope.

Therein lies one of the most basic problems between us. The Osama's gain their power because they can point to those outside of their religion that express the same hate they have towards us.

While I am no big fan of Islam, or even religion in general (no, I am not an atheist), I will point out that there are some 10,000 or so Arab/Americans and Muslims fighting terrorists in the U.S. Military, some having already made the ultimate sacrifice.

The more you express your hatred for all Muslims the more you feed the Osama's and show their garbage to be true.

If we are truly interested in ending Muslim radical terrorism we will have to enlist the aid of those Muslims not part of the terrorist network. They must take a stand too and not leave it up to us.

If you desire to reply with historical accounts of the bloodshed from Islam, don't bother. I can and have found similar senseless bloodshed from Christianity in history. There are also several passages within our own Bibles directing the shedding of blood. No, we don't follow them any longer, but how would non-Christians view them?

The hate has to stop if we are to defeat Terror.

Yeah, the muzzies done a fine job of whacking Rushdie so far.

Good luck whacking the Pope.

Retards.
