Whether Keating 5 charges were real or not (they were) they've been the impetus for McCain every since. He keeps trying to apolgogize, fix campaign finance reform, prohibit free speech prior to campaigns because he saw the light (!), he's seen the error of his ways and now everybody must pay for his sins.

Half the people in this country aren't even aware of McPain's past.

All they have to do is pick up a DVD of the Manchurian Candidate.... or maybe even The Bridge Over the River Kwai... the English Colonel(?) comes to mind.

It will be interesting to see if any third party balloons are floated any time soon.

I have two lovely picturs of my daughter with Ann. My daughter went to Eagle Forum for Collegians in DC when she was a freshman in college; Ann was one of the guest speakers. Then when Ann came to Gainesville, my daughter went to see her again. Ann was very sweet to her, when my daughter said she had met Ann previously at Eagle for Collegians, Ann said: "I thought you looked familiar". Good memories for my daughter, lovely pics for me.

It seems that McCain's personal experience with interrogation may be pushing him to take the side of the one being interrogated.

He is probably so emotionally involved he can't think straight.

As evidenced by his moral equivalence to our soldiers and terrorists who are cowardly and wear no uniform.

I would think that any soldier from any country should be treated with honor for having the courage to wear a uniform and be subjected to death for doing so.

And giving those who do not, the same honor, is a slap in the face to those who do.

I'd go for Tommy Franks in the VEEP slot; I really like him a lot. Don't know what his interest in politics is, but he would be a good choice, imho.

Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Arlen Specter, R-Pa., and Carl Levin, D-Mich.; Hadley.

Two of my favorite Senators...Not! I trust Ken Mehlman, so Ill go along with the need for the RINOS, for the sole purpose of keeping Congress. However, these folks along with a few others, are just not worth keeping in Congress. Warner and Graham, are openly defying the President on torture. It is my contention, as I posted yesterday, that any captured jihadists that trip a Geiger counter has time sensitive, vital info that must be obtained ASAP.(Make no mistake, all captured prisoners are scanned with a gieger) How could anyone not see that?

Truth be told, if you visited Colorado you would never want to go back to Florida. The Rockies are beyond majestic.

I love the Rockies, but Colorado has too many ex-hippies, including my sister and her husband.  Almost as bad as SF or the "great Northwest" of Evergreen college (where my nephew teaches).  I prefer the rockies either north of Colorado in Wyoming, or south in New Mexico.  I have family in both of those states, as well.

Dubois, Wyoming, is truly spectacular and Cody, at the eastern entrance to Yellowstone, seems like a really comfortable place to be.  Albuquerque up to Santa Fe and Taos is also amazing.  Taos and Santa Fe have their share of fru fru types, as well, but just hang out with the tribes for awhile and you get grounded again real fast.  And Sky City at Acoma, in the dead of winter, is perhaps one of the most beautiful (and cold) places on the planet.

No, but Soros does. And I firmly believe that McQueeg would hook up with him if the price is right.

Wasn't there a link between King Soros and the McCain-Feingold Campaign Fiance bill? I thought Soros wanted all the 527s to come into existence - he certainly took advantage of the loophole and I had heard McLame pushed it for Soros??

Yes, the Uniform is a Badge of Honor and unfortunately a target as well, something stupid McCain can't figure out!
He blew up one of our own aircraft carriers with his stupidity and arrogance and doesn't deserve the honor of being Commander in Chief!

Thanks for these pictures and the reminder of what a great lady Margaret Thatcher is. We had a very strong, outspoken ally in her. I also like Tony Blair and I wonder if there is anyone in the wings who could step up and be as strong in the face of such hatred as those two have faced.

It's just more lies that go unchallenged... and become fact.

The Big Lie technique

(totally unrelated factoid, the grandson of the guy who wrote the psychological profile of Adolf Hitler for the OSS, cited in the Wikipedia link above, was the best man at my wedding)
