I try to read all the columns Hansen writes. He really is one of the best writers today and his insight is always spot on.
If Powell had a conscience, he would not be seen in public ever again. Imagine, having been appointed as Sec. of State, he betrayed the man and the office he was sworn to serve. Why would we think he would behave differently toward his country.

Dontcha just love how Webb waxes on about how we could have taken on Saddam without invading Iraq first? I hate to say this, but I don't even know who this Webb guy is but I get a flashing "IDIOT" alert whenever he opens his mouth.

To me, this makes no sense.
I can't take someone seriously who would appear on TV asking for support of voters, when he cannot be truthful looking into his own mirror. That 'hair' is too distracting.

Nope. I sure didn't. He worked hard and he won me over. I didn't believe the secret conservative argument. I heard "compassionate conservative" and rolled my eyes and gave a big sigh. But it started with tax cuts. And he hit a home run with the soft bigotry of low expectations.
