The recent remarks made by Pope Benedict XVI on Islam are threatening to ignite the entire Muslim world.
Op-Eds published in the Arab newspapers slammed the pope even after the Vaticans apology.
The most extreme opinion was voiced by Hani Pahas in the London-based Arabic-language daily newspaper Al-Hayat, who wrote the popes comments may lead to war; we fear that the popes statements may lead to a war that we, Muslims and Christians alike, are trying to prevent through dialogue between East and West.
Hussein Shabakshy wrote in an article published by the London-based Arabic-language newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat It is clear that such remarks only contribute to the fueling of the fire raging between Islam and the West. There is no difference between Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri speaking from their caves in Tora Bora and the stage of an important Christian saint. Both parties contribute to the world verbal weapons for mass destruction.
The popes latest statement cannot be considered a slip of the tongue or a comic bit from a TV show; the situatio0n here is different, and his remarks are indicative of an important and highly symbolic stance toward the religion (Islam) and the prophet of about a billion and-a-half Muslims, he said.
These are ignorant comments previously made by Adolf Hitler, who spoke of a supreme white race against all the other races, especially the African race.
Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood said a Vatican statement on Saturday saying Pope Benedict was sorry for upsetting Muslims with his comments on Islam did not go far enough.
"We want a personal apology (from the Pope). We feel that he has committed a grave error against us and that this mistake will only be removed through a personal apology," Muslim Brotherhood Deputy Leader Mohammed Habib told Reuters.

"Popes Remarks May Lead to War"(?)
The global terrorist forces of Islamic jihadism have been at war with the West for years.
In this photo made available by British 20th Armored Brigade, a British helicopter lands with the supplies for the British soldiers from Maysaan Battle Group from the U.K.'s 20th Armored Brigade, in Maysaan province, near Iraq-Iran border, southern Iraq, Wednesday Sept.13, 2006. The pink smoke on the right is released by soldiers to help the helicopter crew know where to land. (AP Photo/British 20th Armored Brigade,Cpl. Anthony Boocock,HO)

I rec'd this in an email tonight
The Pope says that jihad violence is against God's nature, and officials fear that in response, Muslims enraged by this insult will commit... jihad violence.
Muslims murder 3,000 innocents in New York and expect no criticism.
Muslims murder 202 tourists in Bali and expect no criticism.
Muslims murder 333 schoolchildren and their teachers in Beslan and expect no criticism.
Muslims murder 292 innocents, mainly Kenyans and Tanzanians at two US Embassies and expect no criticism.
Muslims murder 241 US and 58 French peacekeepers in Beirut and expect no criticism.
Muslims fire 4,000 Katyusha rockets into Northern Israel killing over 50 innocent civilians and expect no criticism.
Muslims murder 52 in London and 191 in Madrid and expect no criticism.
Muslims murder 200 in Mumbai and expect no criticism.
Muslims behead Western hostages in Iraq, Buddhist monks in Thailand and Christian schoolgirls in Indonesia and expect no criticism.
Muslims murder 500,000 in Darfur and expect no criticism.
Muslims regard Jews as 'sons of pigs and monkeys', and vow to nuke Israel and expect no criticism.
Muslims force women to wear hideous sacks, stone to death women for getting raped and for leaving the home unescorted, engage in honor killings of sisters and daughters for unapproved dating, and expect no criticism.
Muslims danced in the streets and handed out sweets to their kids to celebrate the 9/11 atrocity, and still expected no criticism.
Since 9/11 Muslims have killed over 26,000 and wounded over 50,000 in terrorist attacks worldwide since 9/11 and expect no criticism.
Since 9/11 Muslims have committed terrorist attacks in Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Chad, Chechnya, Dagestan, Denmark, East Timor, Egypt, England, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ingushetia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Jordan-Iraq, Kabardino-Balkans, Kenya, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Mauritania, Morocco, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Gaza-Palestinian Authority, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Somalia, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Arab Republic, United States, Uzbekistan and Yemen, and still expect no criticism.
Muslims have carried out over 5,800 fatal terrorist atrocities since 9/11, and countless thousands since Islamic conquest began in 623 AD and expect no criticism. But if a Pope dares to tell the truth about Islam or Danes publish cartoons about Mohammed, then let the outpourings of Islamic hate and outrage begin.
And, in some twisted reach of logic, some demand the Pope issue an apology.

God is not bound by his Word in that he cant choose to recant. God can do everything, but He is faithful and true. That is why we can rely on His promises and laws.
He is loving so He makes exceptions and changes in favor of His creatures.

I disagree.
This is spiritual warfare.
Bible believing Christians know and understand that there has been a struggle for the mind of man since The Garden. It manifests itself in various ways, but the root is the jealosie (sp?) Satan has of man .. God's favored creation.
Fast forward .... Born-again Christians have no fear of death .. we know where we're going ... Islamists have no fear of death .. if they obey .. they know where they're going.
It will do no good to get into any theological debate here ... or anywhere, for that matter .. discussing what I just said .. suffice it to be a truth to the believer .. it is fact.
And that is the spiritual warfare.
Too many Americans opted for a secular education over a spiritual education and we now have a nation that is torn over the name of Jesus.
Satan and Islam is laughing at us.
The Pope is now in the position President Bush has been in for 6 years .. will he respond from/with his convictions?
Or play religio-politics?

There can be no "dialogue" with Islam. Their stance is total, final and permanent. There is only appeasement and delay as they score one small victory after another.
I have felt uneasy and unsettled for a long time now. It's as if something big is brewing, something so big that there's no point in looking for a different job or a better TV plan. Something is coming that is so big, we will all be uprooted from our couches and forced to participate in, whether willingly or not. It is coming. Best to get up off the couch now and prepare ourselves.

I think you may be right
Earth is beginning to spin off its axis
Things can't keep up like this
What I would do is bombard the muslims countries with airborne dropped phamplets stating MOHHAMED WAS A PYSCHO NUT JOB WHO ESTABLISHED A FALSE RELIGION AND SPREAD IT WITH THE SWORD
CONVERT TO THE TRUE RELIGION OF CHRISTIANITY
( I am an agnostic but realize people need religion and Christianity is much much better than Islam )
Then I would send the bombers out round the clock day after day and lay waste to Iran's nuke and military capabilty
At the same time I would level MECCA the DOME OF THE ROCK and EVERY valued holy place of the muslims and every place where the mullahs are suspected of living
That is what is needed
But it won't happen so we will procrastinate etc etc until finally it becomes the end of modern man and he dawning of a new Dark Age --If humanity survives

When the phoney war In Iraq and Afghanistan is finally displaced by the real thing the immediate question for the home folks is how will all the Pak and Egyptian , etc., doctors and convenience store clerks behave. Most are very serious about their religion. I know because one cannot say "good morning" to many of them without getting a promo for conversion. Be armed and well stocked with ammunition. These folks are not like the Isei and Nisei of WWII who had left their non aggressive religion on the other side of the Pacific Ocean. To every Mohammedan there is ultimately only one point to their religion- convert or kill. It does not depend on "interpretations" of various arcane passages in their holy book. The book speaks plainly and does not draw limits of geography or groups.
The Japanese in America, citizens and sojourners, showed no inclination to do anything for their "homeland" but the situation was dire enough that America took no chances, thus the internment camps. How many of these "lone nut" sprees in airports and on streets and in Jewish facilities, how many snipers in Maryland do we have to experience before we understand that the saracens in our midst are not so benign?

Go back and look at who all was telling him we were done, and should withdraw. BOTH sides of the House and Senate, all the MSM, and much of the public. Why? Because no one actually pays any attention history. It's why I became a teacher. It's also probably futile. Call me Don Quixote.

Who knows how to say "Kiss my Holy Roman @ss" in Latin? Vescere bracis sancta romana meis comes pretty close. But I far prefer the happy poetic thought of Mihai Eminescu, Romania's national poet:

Excellent dissection of the problem. There can be no meaningful dialog with these people because their understanding (or lack of) of God's attributes are totally at odds with that of the Christian understanding of God's attributes.
The fact is that most Muslims cannot even begin to see the irony of their position, and when faced with the dichotomy they instinctively lash out in a violent manner. They refuse to see the truth out of utter ignorance stupidity, and stubborness<./P>
Genesis 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence, of all his brethren.

Come on. That makes entirely too much sense.
Nobody in our government has the nuts to speak the truth, much less stop the muslim stuff already brewing in this country, thanks largely to our "friends" the Saudi Wahabbists who directly fund 80% of the mosques in the USA.
