Pope statement not enough: Muslim Brotherhood (They are ensuring a war will grow)

CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood said a Vatican statement on Saturday saying Pope Benedict was sorry for upsetting Muslims with his comments on Islam did not go far enough.

"We want a personal apology (from the Pope). We feel that he has committed a grave error against us and that this mistake will only be removed through a personal apology," Muslim Brotherhood Deputy Leader Mohammed Habib told Reuters.

"Has he presented a personal apology for statements by which he clearly is convinced? No," he said.

In a speech on Tuesday the Pope repeated criticism of the Prophet Mohammad by the 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who said everything the Prophet brought was evil "such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached".

The remarks sparked outrage across the Islamic world.

"The Holy Father is very sorry that some passages of his speech may have sounded offensive to the sensibilities of Muslim believers," Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone said in the statement.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a political Islamist group founded in Egypt which has inspired movements across the Arab world.

I have had it with the Muslims of the world who act in this manner. Ignorance of the speech is no excuse and the evil that is this radical element of their faith will not go away except by its destruction. The islamofacists guarantee a battle as they keep on kicking sand in the face of the rest of the world with their "Our religion is holy and anything you say bad makes you a target" crap.

Well...right back at you , you bunch of satanically possessed scum. .

The Pope should personally apologize after OBL apologizes for the WTC attacks. In other words, His Holiness should stay mum on this topic.

Has he presented a personal apology for statements by which he clearly is convinced?

Millions of Americans are awaiting a personal apology from Bin Laden. Let alone the murderous Muslim Brotherhood. FU!

The remarks sparked outrage across the Islamic world.

No, it didn't. Rage is the normal state of these people. Outrage is when the rage leaves the house, which is every day.

If the Pope said Muslims were gay, what would they do to disprove it based upon the way they have proven him wrong when he quoted that they were violent.

This is some silly stuff.

Muslim Imams consistently call Christians and Jews infidels, devils, dogs, and then call for their throat slitting.

It is amazing the reaction they have when someone questions them.

That pretty much sums up the whole conflict....we can end this thread now ;)

Whatever happened to free speech?

Here's my contribution to free speech: Islam and its proponents all suck.

Getting tired of this appeasement crap. Someone draws a cartoon, they riot. Someone says something that could be interpreted as hurtful, and they cry and yell for an appology. We lose almost 3,000 in 102 minutes, they dance in the streets.

I am *almost* to the point of saying screw it, throw down and lets get it on for real. Ack I'm a warmonger!

The Corriere della Sera reported that local terror experts said they are paying close attention to threats made by an Iraqi armed group regarding its intentions to attack Rome and the Vatican in response to Pope Benedict’s remarks on Islam.

The Muslim Brotherhood

One MAJOR problem in dealing with Islam is that there is no one "voice" but a collection of individuals who interpret the Koran according to "their" understanding.

The Holy Father made one mistake - he presumed the Muslims had the intelligence to comprehend his citation within the context of his address. Unfortunately, his rational comments fell on the deaf ears of bedouins. Islam is a cult, not a religion.

No apology, no statement shall ever be enough. Even if the Pope went to these people, on bended knee, and chose to turn Muslim right there, there would still be calls from other Muslims that he be beheaded, and that would not stop their anger and rage. We are dealing with genuinely psychotic personalities here, and they have absolutely no moderating influences in their lives.

At all.

Their whole ideology is a runaway atomic pile, and there is no way to halt the internal chain reaction sequence once initiated.

Either critical mass is reached, or the entire system goes into meltdown, and there is no containment facility.

Muslim Brotherhood is pretty much the rootstock of all the Sunni Jihadists, and groups like Hamas. This is how they, and many of the Salafi believing Sunni, that any negative done to Islam or to a moslem is grounds for Jihad action. They also have a big chip on the shoulder about what's insulting to Islam.

I think that the only thing the pope could do to make them happy is to say, Islam is superior to Christianity.

<< Islam is a cult, not a religion. >>

Even elevating it to the level of "cult" is to flatter the death-and-destruction-worshiping and false-fuhrer-following islamanazi ideology.

And, by referring to the islamanazi ideology as a religion, His Holiness similarly erred, albeit more egregiously.
