RENO -- Democrat Jack Carter faces an uphill battle if he hopes to unseat Republican incumbent John Ensign in Nevada's U.S. Senate race, according to a new poll.

"There is a better chance that Jimmy Carter will be elected president than Jack Carter has to be elected to the U.S. Senate," said Pete Ernaut of Reno, president of public affairs for R & R Partners, a former Republican assemblyman and former chief of staff for Gov. Kenny Guinn."

There is a better chance that Jimmy Carter will be elected president

Well, you've got to be specific here!

Do you mean president of the U.S. or president of Cuba or Venezuela?

Thank G-d. His Dad was bad enough....

I hope this is true...

We don't need any more of Lillian's descendants polluting the political scene. Let them go build houses for the needy instead.

Couldn't Carter find something more productive to do, like being a security guard at the bunny ranch? I hear they aren't as fierce as the one who attacked his father.

The poll sponsored by the Reno Gazette-Journal and KRNV-TV showed Ensign leading Carter 56 percent to 35 percent, with only 9 percent of voters undecided.

I'm sure things will change once Daddy shows up to campaign... NOT!

Maybe Carter ought to surrender, like his dad in Iran.

Or, better yet, get Impeached42--THE BENT ONE--to campaign for him. BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

God I hope this is right. I don't want to see anyone associated with Jimmy Carter anywhere near government, or even a position of public authority for that matter.

Boy, rather harsh and caustic comments about our former President... maybe you would like to learn more about this "great American" from his 1976 best-seller "Why Not The Best?" You can buy a collectible edition of this fine book for $.01 on Amazon. Here's the link for all those interested: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0553101986/ref=olp_tab_collectible/104-3175333-0079966?ie=UTF8&condition=collectible

Why not the best, indeed! Brings to mind a whole different definition of "best", don't you think?

I've already bought a lot of copies "Why The Worst" and passed them around to friends and family members. This would probably be a great booster shot. LOL

This is comforting news, as a few polls had indicated that Carter had gained ground.

Jimmy Carter's last presidential run:

(For those of you in Rio Linda, please note the colors are as they were back then-- Commie Red for Carter and True Blue for Reagan)

Jimmuh Carter, when interviewed by C-SPAN last winter upon the release of his 814th book, hesitated when asked about Jack's chances in Nevada. Paraphrasing, I remember that the best thing he could say about it would be a 'learning experience'.

The obvious follow-up would have been to ask Jimmuh why he had prepared his children so poorly to function in the real world.

The only Carter I had any use for was Billy...even if he did p1$$ on the side of his truck and was drunk half the time.

"You can buy a collectible edition of this fine book for $.01 on Amazon."

If you tear the pages from that book, and crumple them carefully to soften them, they work great as toilet paper... almost as good as the koran!
