Now pointing out how the American people are frustrated with the UN. (An understatement.) Talking about how the UN isn't doing anything on Dafur.
Bush's poll numbers just went WAY WAY up!! He is absolutely fabulous today!!!
?: UN next week, Kofi Annan critical of US policies. How would you characterize relationship between US and UN.
Bush: Personal relationship with Annan good. I like him. I think a lot of Americans are frustrated with the UN to be frank with you. (LOL - masterful understatement)
Take Darfur - I'm frustrated with the UN with regard to Darfur. We've said there's genocide taking place in the Sudan and it breaks our hearts. We believe the best way to solve the problem is a political and security track. Security trrack for African and international community forces to protect lives from militia and forces there but it's not robust enough. It needs to be bigger.
He's talking to the American people. I just love this.
His ratings should only go UP UP UP!
He just gets better and better at this....and I gotta say this is the best YET!
that's the one...she's the one that said that she hopes Mrs Clarence Thomas feeds her husband lots of bacon since African-American men have a high incidence of heart disease. Hateful old moo....
Yes, like Speicher.
How many POWs of ours do they hold????? What does the IRC say about their treatment our troops when captured?????
At this hour of the day, it WAS for ME!
It is the stupidity of people like Gregory who believe in some kind of moral equivilency between the US and our enemies. The enemy doesn't abide by any rules and it makes not a wit to them what we do. What makes these naysayers think that despotic regimes like NK and Iran will treat US prisoners better than they treat their own people?
"I think a lot of the American people are frustrated with the UN."
Yes, he is talking to the American people.
Stay the course MR. President!
OMG, maggie. That's priceless!
When the transcript is posted, please post that again!
I wasn't clear--I meant that Tony must be cheering on the inside. I have been listening more than watching so I haven't seen him this morning--I figured he was out there--but not able to noticeably react as he would like to. I know he is smiling on the inside. :)
Bush: We need to make security effective enough in Darfur to save lives. The problem is the UN hasn't acted (ROFL).
I can understand those concerned about Darfur are frustrated. I am. But we'll hear that Sudan must ask UN in before UN can act. But there are other alternatives. Like saying we're coming in with a force to save lives. (OMG - he's taking it to the UN now).
It is way past time. Those "reporters" do not care about the safety of this country. They make me so angry!
Hiya Txie...
Was about the same as, --little Dave got screwed on live TV.
PREZ IS FIRED UP!!!
now that photos was freaky!
Gregory will be whinning later on MSNBC about this
