Bush Will Cut and Run in Afghanistan
Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006 2:09 p.m. EDT
Democratic Sen. John Kerry, the party's [FAILED] 2004 presidential nominee, accused the Bush administration of pursuing a "cut and run" strategy in Afghanistan that has emboldened terrorists and made the United States less safe.
"The administration's Afghanistan policy defines cut and run," Kerry said in remarks prepared for delivery at Howard University on Thursday. "Cut and run while the Taliban-led insurgency is running amok across entire regions of the country. Cut and run while Osama bin Laden and his henchmen hide and plot in a lawless no-man's land."
>>snip<<
"The central front in the war on terror is still in Afghanistan, but this administration treats it like a sideshow," said Kerry, adding there are seven times more troops in Iraq than Afghanistan.

Not like Kerry did from Vietnam.
COWARD!
Well here ya go!
John John John John - Please keep on talking...please keep on getting involved in the election season....please do...just a few more totally comical and witless grandstands like this cut and run thing and you'll ensure a GOP GAIN in the House AND Senate.
Please fellow Freepers! Let's encourage John F'n Kerry (Vietnam Veteran) to continue to get out there and tell us what's on his mine....let's feed his need to be thought as a relevant force....all it can do is utterly destroy what's left of the Dims plans for 2006 and likely 2008.
Whatever it is, he's a legend in his own mind.
He is a child of privilege, who spends his days flying in private jets and living in luxury paid for by a dead man's money.
President Bush is another child of privilege, but look at the difference between what both men did with what they were born with. All of Kerry's indulgences could be brushed aside or considered charming if he weren't forever playing the "I went to Vietnam, I have scars!" card. Bush never expects anyone to feel sorry for him for having lived a good life, and he uses what he's got to protect us from a threat another democrat playboy ignored in favor of parties with Hollywood pals and oral sex in the Oval Office; Kerry wants to guilt us all into voting for him, while he spends his wife's money and skis.
mine....er...mind..one of them thar thangs...
That photo really says a lot about him.. ..afraid.
Are they STFU?? Works for me.
LOL....that too. :-)
LOL, rice in the butt cheek doesn't qualify as a "scar" to me.
Note, his "war hero" status depends on just which war he is undermining and where.
By his own words in an article he wrote in 1986 for the book, "Rememberance of war," he wanted NOTHING to do with the Viet Nam War. He only asked for Swift Boats because they were patrolling off shore at the time.
I'm still waiting for him to release his full and unsantized Military jacket to the public for scrutiny. I'm waiting, but I'm not holding my breath.
LOL! This has got to be a joke. What a loser!
Megalomaniac....political whore....pathological liar........coward....giggolo....yeah, run again, John F'n!!
But the one thing that you have to remember about Kerry, is that on his father's side, he is nouveau rich and that side has many closets filled with skeletons.
Though his mother's side was "old money", she was one of the poor branches on that tree.
So poor Jack never was brought up like the children of very old money scions were/are, with a sense of duty, honor, and having to "give back", or noblesse oblige, as President Bush was.
I remember playing this "copy-cat" game in grammar school. You would think a grown man wishing to be the President of the United States would have outgrown it by now.
I want the recipe for the gin raisins.Everytime he opens his yap,I have an urge to down a dozen!
More like "BLANK"! (The face behind the bling...)
His audacity is breath-taking!
Ah, Proud, you are far too kind to ketchup boy.
The Taliban is not running amok. They are coming up on the bad side of a very lopsided body count, from what I can see.
The reason the fighting has escalated is pretty simple. The Taliban spent a couple of years in Pakistan, where we could not get them. Now they've been booted out of Pakistan, and they've got no where to go bu Afghanistan. Too bad for them.
