The Non-Aligned Movement demanded at a summit in Havana that Israel withdraw its troops from Gaza, release jailed Palestinian officials and repair damage caused by its military operations.
A draft declaration to be adopted by leaders of the NAM countries also expresses "grave concern about the deterioration of the situation ... in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, as a result of the unlawful policies and practices being carried out by Israel."
Ministers preparing the full summit, which starts on Friday, agreed late Wednesday on a document that condemned Israel for what they called "the continuing killing and injury of Palestinian civilians by excessive and indiscriminate force, targeted attacks and extrajudicial executions."
They also called "for the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from within the Gaza Strip, for Israel to fulfill its responsibility to repair damage caused to the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and for the immediate release of all Palestinian officials detained by Israel."
The statement also criticized the decision by some countries to suspend aid to the Palestinian territories following the January election of Hamas, which the US government considers a terrorist organization.
The NAM "firmly rejected the collective punishment of the Palestinian people for the democratic election of their representatives."
It also urged its members "to extend, on an urgent basis, economic and financial assistance to the Palestinian people to ease the current financial and humanitarian crisis."
The NAM represents 118 developing countries.
Scum ping
Hell they sound like they're aligned to me!
With the Islamanazis...
Semper Fi
I'm sure Israel is extremely sensitive to the will of these puny countries.
Visualization of the NAM member states.
118 countries belong to the Non-Aligned Movement.
Kinda like "Jumbo Shrimp".
Holy Crap, 118 countries. They probably have like 5000 trained troops between them. We better triple the defense budget.
Non-Aligned Nations Unite to Blast Israel; B'nai B'rith International Enraged by Myopia of NAM

WASHINGTON, Sept. 14 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following was released by B'nai B'rith International (BBI) in response to a summit for non-aligned nations:
Despite their own economic problems and internal unrest, developing and undeveloped nations taking part in the 14th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Cuba this week instead focused their main attention on criticizing Israel.
The Cuba summit got underway by blasting Israel's "acts of state terrorism." This view completely ignores the ongoing and ever present attacks against innocent Israeli civilians in the form of suicide bombings and kidnappings by Hezbollah and Hamas, recognized terrorist organizations.
NAM's Committee on Palestine declared its "unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian cause." Considering that for many in this group, the "Palestinian Cause" is the annihilation of Israel, BBI is enraged, but not surprised, by this agenda.
NAM brings together the most vocal anti-Israel group of nations in the world, including Iran, Syria, Cuba and Malaysia. Regrettably, United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan's appearance at the meeting adds a level of credibility to the group to which it is not entitled. In recent years, the nations of NAM have used any international forum as an opportunity to speak against Israel.
"By continually condemning Israel at the expense of other pressing issues for developing and undeveloped nations, NAM demonstrates its tunnel vision," said B'nai B'rith International Executive Vice President Daniel S. Mariaschin. "This forum demonstrates the world's off-target obsession with Israel, at the expense of real, critical issues at home."
B'nai B'rith finds it outrageous that NAM is focused on criminalizing and demonizing Israel. These non-aligned nations fail to acknowledge the real history of terrorism and aggression perpetrated against Israel since independence in 1948. While the committee noted that the Palestinian people participated in "free, transparent and democratic elections," they failed to note these elections brought to power a known terrorist organization, which seeks Israel's destruction, Hamas, to lead the Palestinians.
B'nai B'rith suggests NAM direct its energies to concentrate on solutions to pressing problems in their own home nations, such as human rights, poverty, lack of access to clean water and AIDS.

lol! Tell me how you really feel.
NMA states represent 55% of the Earth's people and about two-thirds of the United Nations's countries.
;-)
Let me know when they are allowed to join Mensa.
So how many people really believe that Cuba, in 1979, was somehow *not* aligned with the Soviet Union?!
It would be interesting to compare these figures to their combined GDP, the number of patents issued to their citizens, their Nobel Prize count (excluding "peace" and literature, of course), etc. I think perhaps a better name for these schlubs would be "Alliance of Deadbeat Whiners" or something.
The Non-Aligned Movement aka The Turd World.
Note to the non aligned nations ...STFU.
Belarus is NAM.
i.e. very crooked!!
