Perhaps the Political Suicide Club Conservatives might want to consider this. In all the political wet dream fantasizes that "Conservatives win by losing" what do they think happens to their slim chances of taking BACK the Congress if the Democrats follow up this with a reinstitution of the Fairness Doctrine?
The Fairness Doctrine would totally destroy Conservative Talk Radio. Without talk Radio the Conservative ability to win the Congress back goes from slim to nonexistent. This wacko wild butt guess that by losing the Congress the Republicans would be "forced" to more to the right is the dogma of political Know Nothings. This "idea" shows a complete ignorance of the powers of incumbency and the very real damage Democrats could do even if by some miracle they only held the Congress 2 years.

Top Democratic congressional leaders are complaining to network and cable television news executives that the networks are giving the party short shrift in national security stories.
"Until now, there has been a complete absence of balance in the news coverage of national security issues," House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. and Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said in letters sent yesterday to top news executives at NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox News Channel and CNN.

Here comes Snerdley
Darn I wished I had 24/7
SNERDLEY ON THE CAM!!!!!
Snerdly used to be on the air but rush called him back whe he lost his hearing. his real name is james golden.
He's got a blond woman on his lap with her back turned...
No Snerdley...
I think that was Dawn, more specifically, dawns back. LOL.
Huckabee seems a solid conservative from all I know, but there are a lot of people in Arkansas who say they're conservatives and call him basically a Socialist. That doesn't match what I know of him, my wife and her whole family having lived in Arkansas for decades, and knowing him pesonally, but whatever. Tancredo is solidly fiscally and socially conservative and obviously very strong on the border. I think he would have to be considered the most well rounded solid conservative that's strong on the war as anyone, obviously strong on the border and non-amnesty immigration fixer, low tax supporter, supporting only conservative constructionist judges, pro-life/pro-traditonal marriage, on and on. Unless there is someone else I'm missing who has hinted at running, Huckabee or Tancredo would be best for real conservatives I think.
hahahahaha!
Yep, and I fell for it too - I wonder if that was actually Dawn?
I don't see Huckabee going anywhere. Tancredo has only the immigration issue to ride on, that's not enough to be the nominee.
As for 2008, short answer is I do not know yet. Newt certain can hit some homeruns but he strikes out as often. I like Allen but do not know if he can recover. Frist has certain been very cagey recently. He certainly is learning how to work the Blogs. Rommny? Gulliani? Just do not know.
What I am afraid is the 24/7 News cycle will just chew up and spit out everyone between now and 2008. We may end up with out version of Clinon. A No Name dark horse no one seriously considered until he popped up on the screen late in 1991. We may very well not know who our canidate will be until 2008.
Hey your from GA do you ever listen to Neal Boortz?
