Huckabee seems a solid conservative from all I know, but there are a lot of people in Arkansas who say they're conservatives and call him basically a Socialist. That doesn't match what I know of him, my wife and her whole family having lived in Arkansas for decades, and knowing him pesonally, but whatever. Tancredo is solidly fiscally and socially conservative and obviously very strong on the border. I think he would have to be considered the most well rounded solid conservative that's strong on the war as anyone, obviously strong on the border and non-amnesty immigration fixer, low tax supporter, supporting only conservative constructionist judges, pro-life/pro-traditonal marriage, on and on. Unless there is someone else I'm missing who has hinted at running, Huckabee or Tancredo would be best for real conservatives I think.
I don't see Huckabee going anywhere. Tancredo has only the immigration issue to ride on, that's not enough to be the nominee.
