Wmal streaming is even worse than WABC. Some of the bigger stations are so arrogant they just don't care. You are likely to hear periods of dead air during spot breaks, but look at your time meter and as long as it is running you are still logged on, it's more likely the problem is with them than your computer.

Part of the streaming problem has to do with unions. Some of the music unions started threatening to sue the bigger stations if they played certain music without their union members begin compensated. It's kinda complex but stations that don't really care enough to get their lawyers to fix things simply go to dead air.

Thanks, rodguy. I do know about the "dead air" phenomenon on WMAL and learned to check the timer, but for a couple of weeks it just won't come on for me at all. I used to be able to select RealPlayer which was the only way I could get it, but that option disappeared.

I can't believe we didn't have a jet or two we could not scramble. Something is wrong here.I'm still betting on the PC angle for this.

My company has me "access denied" to the station. Please keep the oppressed informed. he is saying the media is misreporting the incident, and that the problem is that we couldn't get bombs on target before they disperced(fast enough) and that it wasn't a problem with getting permission or anything. Maybe this predator was unarmed(some are)
To: rodguy911
There is NO rule of engangement regarding hitting funerals, NONE. We have done it before. This was timed to go after Bush after "Road to 911".

I really don't even pay any attention to the bush bashers any more thats all they know or all they have, but why couldn't we get a jet fighter plane over their fast enough I don't get that one.
And also nothing has been said about why we did not attack them after they left the funeral site.Didn't we at least follow some of them when they left?
The PC angle of fighting this war has had me worried for a long time.

I believe Bill Cowan on this one. This whole photo flap was fishy from minute one.

This was timed to go after Bush after "Road to 911" yea, the timing is rather convient isnt it right after that Clinton movie came out.
To: rodguy911
I was one of the first to note that the rats, (with the aide of the DBM/DNC) had valiantly tried to move the agenda from the mini-series which destroyed the clintonistas to Bush's speech being political(major BS alert there), slick move, but hopefully we won't let them get away with that.
but the funeral thing is different.
