Wmal streaming is even worse than WABC. Some of the bigger stations are so arrogant they just don't care. You are likely to hear periods of dead air during spot breaks, but look at your time meter and as long as it is running you are still logged on, it's more likely the problem is with them than your computer.

Part of the streaming problem has to do with unions. Some of the music unions started threatening to sue the bigger stations if they played certain music without their union members begin compensated. It's kinda complex but stations that don't really care enough to get their lawyers to fix things simply go to dead air.

Thanks, rodguy. I do know about the "dead air" phenomenon on WMAL and learned to check the timer, but for a couple of weeks it just won't come on for me at all. I used to be able to select RealPlayer which was the only way I could get it, but that option disappeared.

There was NO issues with rules of engagement, we could not get the ordance to the site in time. Another driveby media attack on Bush.
