DFU SONG: America (it is BK time for the pathetic losers at America-hating Air America)
DFU SONGS ^ | 9-2006 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

Writing the history of our time in song

MIDI - AMERICA

Scum, they are nothing but scum...every day they preach to the dumb
Hate...they are filled with Bush hate...we knew they...would soon meet their fate

They are losers, one and all...BK for Air America
We are laughing as they fall...BK for Air America

Blame...who are they gonna blame?
Their hosts are really lame...I hear a flush...I hear a flush

Our side...knows how to do a show
Market share's sure to grow...Elder and Rush...Elder and Rush

They are losers, one and all...BK for Air America
We are laughing as they fall...BK for Air America

Franken will be unemployed...BK for Air America
That is something we'll enjoy...BK for Air America

BK for Air America...BK for Air America
BK for Air America...BK for Air America...hooray!

We say...hooray...today...hooray

My country those guys hate...do not resuscitate
I won't be kind...kiss my behind

Today...BK...hooray...BK

Not bad, but someone was already doing something like this a year ago on www.amiright.com:

"America" Based on the performance by Simon And Garfunkel
"Air America" Parody by Offender

Air America, scandal-ridden, starved for listeners, and deeply in debt, is set to implode. Although technically Michelle Malkin and her fellow bloggers have every right to gloat over its demise as much as the mainstream media (which has carefully avoided reporting this story) gloated over Rush Limbaugh's addiction to painkillers, I think most of them are just going to have one good horse laugh at Franken's expense before they continue on to other stories. In view of Air America's perpetually wretched ratings, after all, watching it implode will probably be about as entertaining as watching a neighborhood bully's lemonade stand collapse.

Better take cover:
Can't hide your misfortunes forever.
If I were you, I'd start packing my bags.
So that when at last the story breaks
Of Mister Franken's lies,
There's no one home at Air America.

Some people said from the start the idea was stupid;
Turns out it's a Drobny scheme anyhow.
It's no surprise that your ratings are sagging now;
No one's home at Air America.

Your shows are a bust;
In your heads, empty spaces.
It's not just 'cause of the scandal your station will die:
Right now you're all in the red by some millions of dollars!

When you are out of cash,
Franken, you'll have to find real work.
Who would trust you to be a janitor?
You ran up debts to Gloria.
Now they're yours to redeem
As the doors close over your empty dream.

Some thieving rats have fled;
Soon, the rest will be leaving.
Last one out, make sure that you have locked the door!
Sheldon Drobny has already flown by night.
There's no one home at Air America!
No one's home at Air America!
No one's home at Air America!

For some of the sordid details, check out this link.

About the only thing that's surprising to me is that Air America lasted as long as it did after all that.

This is the Neil Diamond song. Here is my version of the Simon and Garfunkel classic from over 4 1/2 years ago ---

DFU SONG: America (re-writing the legacy) 01-01-02
DFU SONG PARODIES | 1-2002 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

MIDI - AMERICA - (2nd version) from Paul Simon

His Harlem office is where they all gathered together
He was obsessing…yes, it was true
With Bruce Lindsey and his gang of thugs
They wondered what to do

They all came to re-write his legacy

Since 9-11 he's feeling such great desperation
People have learned what he tried hard to hide
He spent his eight years obstructing and lying

They all came to re-write his legacy

Their friends in the press…they could write new stories
Just as before, they could get down on their knees for him
He had fought terror and he almost nailed Osama

His true believers thought rape and assault were beyond him
With finger pointed he said "That's not me"
He defined for them what "is" is
They loved him, they agreed

They all came to re-write his legacy

Bernie Schwartz walked and 900 grand came in handy
The FALN went free…that was compassionate
So what, he totally gutted the CIA

They came to re-write his legacy
All came to re-write his legacy
All came to re-write his legacy,
All came to re-write his legacy

I did my own brief version yesterday (posted in an FR
thread) but it only covers part of the song...I was thinking of doing a song spoof using "Air America" and suddenly
"They're Coming to America" popped into my head. It was
Dukakis' theme song btw :)

(song: "They're Coming to America", Neil Diamond)

Everywhere around the world
They laugh at Air America
Listened to Franken, and I hurled
He's still on Air America

Where the libs are so angry
They're all on Air America
But now they might have bankruptcy
Bad news for Air America

...Bad news for Air America
...Bad news for Air America, today!
