KABUL, Afghanistan — The U.S. military said Wednesday it is looking into the unauthorized release of a photo purportedly taken by an American drone aircraft showing scores of Taliban militants at a funeral in Afghanistan. NBC-TV claimed U.S. Army officers wanted to attack the ceremony with missiles carried by the Predator drone, but were prevented under rules of battlefield engagement that bar attacks on cemeteries. Lt. Tamara Lawrence, a spokeswoman with the U.S. military in Kabul, said the photograph was released to the network by someone who did not have the clearance to hand it out.

US refused to kill 190 Taliban at funeral

Haven't seen this posted yet. Fox is reporting that recently one of our UAVs filmed in live time a Taliban funeral in Afghanistan at which 190 Taliban leaders were shown lined-up in ranks. Fox is showing the photo and reporting that US policy forbids the killing of Taliban in cemetaries and thus the US watched the funeral but took no action to kill the 190 murderers attending. If this is true -- tough question here -- how is Bush any better than Clinton regarding the war on terror?

NYPost/Conservative Voice ^ | Sept 13, 2006
September 13, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - Taliban terror leaders who had gathered for a funeral - and were secretly being watched by an eye-in-the-sky American drone - dodged assassination because U.S. rules of engagement bar attacks in cemeteries, according to a shocking report. U.S. intelligence officers in Afghanistan are still fuming about the recent lost opportunity for an easy kill of Taliban honchos packed in tight formation for the burial, NBC News reported.

We just got Levin on the radio last week and I listened to him for the first time last night. He was raking Mike over the coals big time. I take the guys don't like each other.

Mike's a big Sopranos fan. In season two they always would have meetings at Uncle Junior's doctor's office because the Feds couldn't listen in on Doctor-Patient communications. Is there any doubt that's what the Taliban was doing in a graveyard?

Per some reporting, Rumsfeld is not behind this. He seems to have sidelined in favor of the policies of the Secretary of State:

Judge Napolitano was on FNC a little while ago. According to the Judge, the strike was disallowed because of an agreement between Karzai and our State Department that doesn't permit strikes on cemeteries within Afghanistan. It wasn't some JAG, according to the Judge's sources, or some law. And the agreement is only with Afghanistan. The pic has probably been leaked by some CIA guy who took exception to allowing 190 terrorists to get away.

And oddly enough, I don't see the MSM coming to this whistleblower's rescue....

Hey, at least he talks about Savage. At least he recognizes his existence, unlike the squishy remainder of the talk radio world. They're fishing in the same water at the same time of the day. Competition is a good thing. He doesn't like Michael's angst though, I'm not so crazy about it either. Or his food stories.

I gave up on Savage awhile ago. But he's out there, generally pulling in the same direction as I am, so I give him credit for that.

Your man is afflicted with severe inferiority complex which results is gratuitous attacks on the Big Boys - Rush, Sean, Mark Levin. He screwed the pooch when he was almost to the big time (MSNBC).

Angry and bitter all the time is no way to go through life.

Savage Jr.(Levin) has a hard-on for Savage because of his attacks on his buddy Pawn Vannity aka the Wallbanger. I can think of no other reason as Savage never attacked Levin until Levin got his show and started attacking Savage.

Savage seldom mentions Levin as his focus is mostly on the Republican shills Hannity and Hush. Not only that but why would a Savage attack another Savage anyway?

Uh, Savage is not my man. See the post above yours. But I don't want to interlope on this thread because he does have his fans here, and I accept that there are many shades of conservatives.

Interesting observation. I hadn't thought of that.

LOL!!!

Levin has served in the White House. Savage has done exactly what? Not including hanging with Allen Ginsburg in the Village?
