Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry


A Cozy Bed






We are six little Kittens all on our own
Exploring Outside and its wonders without a Chaperone
Wading through this stuff called "Grass" that's taller than our ears
Following dark Bosco's upright tail because it's easier to steer

We silently move left and right and all around
Aware of the wide cool lake and its soft lapping sounds
While spying birds circling up high and building stronger nests
Careful to steer clear of dogs and their loud and clumsy interests

Marveling at all there is to touch, smell and see before our eyes
Nearly overloading our Curiosity circuits which isn't always wise
Bosco and taffy Amy stretch out to watch some fish in the shallow stream
While we decide to huddle close and cuddle like clotted cream

For it's been a very big day and we Kittens are running out of steam
As the peeking Sun begins to lower we close our eyes and dream
Warm all over from the tips of our tails and all around our ears and heads
Can anyone think of a more comfortably soft and cozy bed?
