ORLANDO, Fla. -- A motorist traveling on Interstate 4 in Orlando was injured after he was shot by a motorist he had honked at seconds earlier, according to a Local 6 News report.
Police said the driver, who only wanted to be identified as Chad, was apparently cut off by two men in a white pickup while traveling on I-4 near Princeton Street.
The police report said the men then threw a soda out of their pickup onto Chad's vehicle and then fired a shot into Chad's vehicle, hitting him in the arm.
The bullet traveled through the vehicle's door and into Chad's arm. He then crashed the vehicle into an I-4 guardrail.
The men in the white pickup fled the scene.
"I had been upset, but am just thankful I'm alive," Chad said.
"Did you provoke these people?" Local 6's Erik von Ancken asked.
"Well, it wasn't road rage but I was upset they cut me off but I didn't shoot at them or give them a reason to shoot at me," Chad said. "I would like them stopped because I don't want see anyone else go through something like this and not be so lucky because I do see myself as being lucky."
Police are investigating the incident and said they hope the bullet will lead them to the shooter.
Guess that'll learn 'em.
You rolls the dice and you takes your chances.
An armed society is a polite society.
The guy that shot that man is going to jail for 25 years to life. I hope he enjoys his final days of freedom.
Geez...what an idiot.
I see central Florida continues its descent into Hell.
Of course the anti-gun nazis will point to this incident as a clear consequence of the "Stand Your Ground" law.

Maybe the man who got shot didn't see the Keep honking, I'm reloading bumper sticker? Seriously though, knuckleheads like the guys in the truck who threw the soda and took the shot need to be caught and tossed in prison. There are consequences to our actions that people need to consider.

YES! most likely - the reporter could tell by the answers that the "victim" was not 100% innocent in the incident.
No victim is 100% innocent. But honking your horn or even gesturing does not give anyone permission to shoot you.
We have become way too willing to excuse wrong behavior. We have become like the wimp that thanks the school bully for not hurting him too badly.
>YES! most likely - the reporter could tell by the answers that the "victim" was not 100% innocent in the incident.<
Ok, so what is a driver to do, when another car whips in front of his vehicle, missing his front bumper by an inch?
Sometimes, people begin to come over because they don't see a car in the other lane. Do you allow the person to hit your car, because if you honk to alert him, you're afraid you'll get shot??
"I know what you're thinking, did he honk once or twice. To be honest in all the confusion I can't remember myself. But since this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and can blow your head clean off, you have to ask yourself 'do I feel lucky?' Well do ya punk?"
Which makes me ask a gain, what is road rage?
Is road rage the reaction to someone else driving like a fool? Do I have to passively sit in my car while folks tailgate, cut me off, block traffic, turn left from right lane and turn right from the left lane in order to be innocent of the road rage offense?
I have to say, that's not a very well thought-out statement. It's just plain false.
"Well, it wasn't road rage but I was upset they cut me off
I'll take that as a "yes"...
OK, name a victim who is 100% innocent.
