Two members of the Fort Worth Cats baseball team were arrested this morning after they and dozens of people got into a fight at a St. Paul bar, police reported.
About a dozen officers responded to the fight at the Half Time Rec as members of the Cats fought with members of the St. Paul Saints team.
The Cats beat the Saints 2-1 Sunday night to win the American Association league championship.
After the game, the two teams retired to the Half Time Rec, a popular bar in the 1000 block of Front Street, a short drive from Midway Stadium.
One of the Cats players was arrested after allegedly choking a St. Paul police officer who was attempting to break up the fight, said police spokesman Tom Walsh.

Have any Freepers participated in a post-game brawl with members of the opposing team? Comments or opinions - anyone?
The Half Time Rec is an Irish bar in a residential neighborhood. Any altercation there would attract a lot of immediate attention.
Reminds me of the bar fights in those "Any Which Way..." movies.
LOL! True!
Good news for the Cats bitter rivals: the Dallas Mice.
Not exactly what I think of first when I hear about a cat fight 8>)
My wife and I and another couple had gone to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on a Saturday night. Up the street from the restaurant was a bar that looked and sounded a little on the rowdy side. As we left the restaurant, we saw two fire trucks and a police car come screeching up to the bar, sirens blaring.
A couple from the bar headed down the street in our direction, and I asked the guy what was going on. He mumbled, "Oh it was just some guy what grabbed the chest of some other guy's girlfriend and they got into an altercation." His girlfriend then added, "Yeah, it was just your usual Sheboygan Saturday night three-alarm grope."
Ha! I probably played that bar in Sheboygan when I was with Methyl Ethyl and the Ketones!
