Barbara Bodine, US Ambassador to Yemen from 1997 to 2001 and now at the Kennedy School, was on Open Source on November 29, 2005 to discuss Iraq exit strategies on the show What John Murtha Wrought. 

Barabra Bodine - Ambassador to Yemen during USS Cole attack Bodine , who is Jewish is the ambassador for Yemen. When the USS Cole was attacked the FBI sent a team led by John O’Neill who immediately suspected Israel. Bodine started an intense political battle to oust O’Neill. Bodine wanted to control the investigation and resented the fact that suddenly there were hundreds of FBI personnel in the country . Then January 2001 comes, and O'Neill wants to go back to Yemen. But Ambassador Bodine wouldn't give him clearance. In July 2001 O’Neill resigns from the FBI.

O'Neil's suitcase had classified FBI documents in it. One of those docs was a complete guide to the security layout for all of NYC. You can imagine what a colossol faux pas this was. O'Neil's negligence -- and I say that respectfully because I admired and supported O'Neil) basically further demoralized him. He went on to serve as the security head of the WTC and he perished in the Towers on 911. Amazing story.

He was a big man who lived a large life and died in a huge tragedy.

Yes, even though we didn't formally recognize the government, we still gave them "humanitarian aid". OF course, we still gave NORTH KOREA humanitarian aid, because we seem to think we should save people from the actions of their evil leaders.

oh, except in IRaq, where we actually DID save people from their evil leader. There is was very bad, the democrats tell us.

When I was living in Los Angeles a couple of years ago, Heaton was a
guest speaker for a fund-raiser for a pro-life group. It was advertized on
the big Christian talk station (KKLA; 99.5FM).

She also caught some nasty comments when she came "out of the closet" and
let people know she was a fairly devout Christian, even if she worked in Hollywood.
She sounds like a pretty much a "straight shooter"; she was even transparent
about having cosmetic surgery as a necessity of TV/film work.

Big bureaucracies don't work any more. That's why border security is going local. Every city small and large is now or should be in the process of providing their own border security, the feds aren't up to it any more.It's very sad but true.

Sad? Thats the way it should be. decentralized Govt. Men and Women looking to their own lives and getting busy.
