Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth

Yeah the Democrats can handle defense alright. They're screw the h**l out of it like they have with Education and Social Security for 50 years, and what they did with the military and intelligence infrastructure during hte 90s, gutting it, forcing Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld to start practically from scratch when they took office in January 2001. There was almost no intelligence industry left over when Bush took office. We've seen how the Democrats handle defense. It's called the 90s, and once is enough thank you. If the Democrats do much more "handling" of defense, 9-11 will look like a single car accident with a tree.
yes, he is "at large". he is living in a cave, or in some remote village with no communications, etc. I would rather he be dead of course, but his lifestyle is kind of crimped right now.
If we come out of this election OK, my fervent wish is that the President and the rest of the GOP take the gloves off. Lay waste to ALL agencies of the Federal Gov't. and throw the bums (R & D) out. I realize it can't be done with civil service employees (yet) but for all the others, it should be house cleanin' time!
The President tried to "..set a new tone in Washington" and it didn't work out very well at all. Now it should be time to play hardball!

Amen to that. I mean, if Bush was able to plan and execute the 9-11 attacks in just seven months, he's a frikken GENIUS!!! And with all the leaks on things that weren't even illegal, how is it that five years later, there STILL isn't a leak from someone involved if Bush planned 9-11??? What a crock. If he did that, it would have leaked out before the FIRST anniversary, much less the fifth. Radical conspiracy theorist wackos. Ever since X-files went off, the radical libs that were part of the group watching it don't know how to cope with reality. Bush is the only thing they know to concentrate on with X-Files being off.
