I've never seen official documentation. "MikeInIraq" is the FReeper that stated that and he was there for many months. I think it's one of those things that will never be official because of Vietnam and body count exaggerations by the media and all the stuff from then, so the Military just doesn't do body counts for release anymore, but they keep count for themselves.
