Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth

The only aspect of any issue the Democrats have been successful with has been splitting Iraq out from the War On Terror. They have created a false doubt in the minds of many voters and they will try exploiting this as a wedge issue in the hope of making it the defining issue in November.

Personally, I don’t think it’s going to work. Voters understand Iraq is part of the WOT even if they are uncertain of how well it is going or whether or not mistakes have been made.

If your hubby is a Giant fan that means you guys are from this area. You already know everything you ever wanted to know about the nogood president and his nogood administration. The first half hour and the last half hour are the most worthy parts to watch....IMO

I think the paper rattle is funny because one of the number 1 broadcast rules is "Never rattle paper".
I think because it's bad for the mics.

Rush is so hot today!
He just explained how corrupt the entire Clintonista regime was and still is. Threatening to sue ABC. I still think ben Veniste was behind most if it. Intimidation is his MO, being a mob lawyer and all. But then they are all so corrupt it's hard to say who leads the pack!

That figure is way off. A FReeper in fact who worked in Central Command in Iraq said clearly that in Iraq alone in the first two and a half years, our miliary has killed at least 100,000 foreign terrorists and 10,000 Hussein supporters in the time after the major combat operations were over around May 2003. The death toll of terrorists since 9-11 2001 is woefully under reported and lopsided. They've taken horrible losses compared to our losses in the Military, indcluding the 9-11 losses. The ratio by far is in our favor, though one American is too many to lose, we can fight the war and lose some, or not fight it and lose more. It's just a question of where and when and how many. I'd rather pick the place and time of the fight then have it chosen by the enemy.

Brilliant post. Few seem to realize the terrorists of the world are gathering in Iraq to take us on. Those that are crazy enough anyway. That's much better than fighting them over here! But no on seems to get it.
