america was changed.
to hell with the politics,
to hell with the conspiracy claims,
5 years ago today 3,800+ people died in one of the most horrible acts in human history
i'll never forget, and neither should you,
5 years ago, firemen and police rushed in to a burning building to save as many lives as they could,
and most of em knew, they werent coming out alive,
1000's of people were running down stairwells,
100's of police, firefighters were going up the stair wells in a burning building that was ready to come down anytime. and they still did everything they could to save lives.
5 years ago today
a few americans aboard a plane deicided, if they were going to die, it wasnt gonna be without a fight, their sacrifice, one made by people just like you or me , or anybody else, decided to sacrifice there lives, so more people could live, because who knew how many more would have died had flight 93 reached its target,
today, i think alot of people have forgot, i think to alot of people all they talk about is that the government planned it, and that bush wanted to kill 3,800 people so he could go to iraq, and i say if you believe that, then you need to wake up from that dreamworld of a reality you have.
today our servicemen and women are overseas fighting to protect us, with the hope that what they do will keep something so terrible from ever happening again.
and im grateful, and frankly im f*n sick of all the people who spit on them, shout out names like "killer" and "baby murderer" and lord knows what else
so today, when you go about your normal life, don't forget about those people who died 9-11-2001, they were just like us,
they were soldiers, fire fighters, policemen and women, accountants, businessmen, mothers, fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, preists, rabbi's,imam's,clerics, doctors, nurses.
they were arab, jewish, muslims, christians, and probably any other religion you can think of,
they were me, they were you,
i havent forgot, and while im angered at what the idiots n washington do, i remember that despite everything thats happened, this is still america, we are still free, and this is still the greatest country in the world,

I'll never forget that day. I will also never forget what I was doing the night before.

Sorry for the double post. I am very emotional right now.
God Bless The Missing, The Family's and Survivors of Americas Worst Tragedy.

I haven't forgotten. Sadly, a lot of Americans have gone merrily on their way. My former lefty neighbors did on 9/12/01.
The dumb b*tch across the street was dancing on her doorstep on 9/12 because of her stupidity. She wasn't celebrating, she was just a dumb, mind-numbed liberal with the inability to see the big picture. Probably dancing to a Barney video. I didn't cut her much slack though because she was a neighborhood 'green' activist. Minneapolis is infested with leftys.
I bid that claptrap city goodbye in 2004, finally.
9/11, never forget the mindset that wants us all dead. We will prevail if all the fencesitters get off their hands and vote Republican in November. There are a lot of RINO's out there, but most of them stick with the President on the WOT. Please FReepers, stay with our President! Our very lives depend upon it!
The firefighters are better men and women than I will ever be. And that's ok, because it will always give me something to shoot for. God rest their souls and protect and comfort their families and friends.
well for everyone who reads this

thats my band, i play lead guitar,
check out the song "tribute" its dedicated to our men and women in the armed forces
I often think of the firefighters who kept climbing those stairs knowing they were likely to die. Can you imagine? Would I have had that kind of guts? Amazing. Also, I will never forget those poor brave souls on flight 93 who tried their best to stop the murdering animals. There must be a special place in Heaven for all of these self less people. Could I ever forget? Never.
Hello,
I like your attitude and your view of what is the essence of 9/11. I have been going thru some pictures and memoribilia of my son-inlaw, FDNY 49th Battalion Chief, John Moran.
It's still hard to realize he is really gone. I can only imagine what it must be like for his mother, brother and sisters. It's not only a personal mourning and loss but also a national mourning.
John's sons and wife, my daughter, always struggle to get thru this time of year. I know it is pure hell for them.
It is good to know that some have not lost or forgotten the basic elements and effect of 9/11.
I am personally comforted to know there are so many of our citizens who are proud Americans and are true Patriots.
May God bless all those who are still hurting in their hearts and souls with His love and comfort them.
Regards, and God bless,

Me either. I was watching the discovery channel last night. One man who couldn't get down was being helped by two others. When it came to get out now or die, the man being interviewed could wait no longer for the man who just kept sitting there, and left. The other man chose to stay with the weak one. They both died. He feels terrible guilt now, but he did what most of us would have done. I felt so sorry for him.
Prayers for you and your family. I could only imagine what it is like to lose someone in such a manner. I will never forgot the sacrifice of those brave firefighters, police officers and so many others who risked their lives to save their fellow Americans. Also, I will never forget the sacrifice of our brave soilders, who risk their lives for freedom.
I have a very hard time watching anything on 9/11. I recorded a few things on t.v., but I haven't watched any of them all the way through. That was the worst day of my life to see my fellow Americans murderded.
I heard that story. That is true heroism. But I can't say I would have done the same. I think I would have panicked and gotten out of there. I guess I still have a lot of growing up to do. It's amazingly hard to abandon yourself for someone else, especially someone you don't know. That's why the 9/11 emergency staff were such heros. They didn't spend a lot of time thinking about themselves. They thought of others.
And I think the man who left should try to not feel so much guilt. His purpose is something else. It wasn't his time.
