SURELY, in these dangerous times, we could appeal to Rudy's reason regarding guns. After Katrina a lot of anti-gun folks had a change of heart. I agree though, he seems to be the logical choice--much better than McCain, yuk!

Well, that would take the "story" past 9/11 -- and that's not in the storyline or the title of the movie. So, it would be extremely *contrived* if they do that.
They won't do it...

The movie hinted (but did not state) that the Pakistani Intelligence Service (their CIA) is the branch of their government controlled by Osama sympathizers.
Presumably they would have to be notified of incoming missiles (or may well have the Prime Minister's office bugged.)
That is why the only information we should have been sharing with Pakistan was disinformation.

I don't know Terry's usual modus operandi (I NEVER watch CBS news!), but tonight his comments from Afghanistan were pretty positive. He talked about how everyone, except the terrorists, taliban, and crooks, were very much looking forward to a future of promise.

IF ya wanna vote for a RINO over a real conservative like Huckabee or Tancredo or Allen or Romney, knock yourself out. They are as strong on the war as Giuliani is, but they AREN'T a lib-lite like Giuliani is. If the GOP wanted a limp RINO for President, they could have selected McCain in 2004. They didn't then. It will be a mistake if they choose a similar RINO in 2008 like Giuliani. You think RINOs in the Senate are bad for the GOP, how wonderful do you think a RINO President will be? This irrational 9-11 crush on Giuliani among conservatives is ridiculous.

"Too bad they didn't have a Marine sniper when they were looking at Bin Laden in the compound. Not that Clinton would have given permission or anything." They did have special forces snipers with OBL in their sites. They just didn't want to be seen as "assassinating" a foreign leader. That wouldn't be nice.
