The Chairman of the 9/11 Commission, Thomas Kean, as well as Commissioner John Lehman, were George Stephanopouloss guests on ABCs This Week Sunday, and they both spoke out strongly in favor of the upcoming miniseries The Path to 9/11
As the discussion ensued, John Lehman brilliantly offered the following:if you don't like the hits to the Clinton administration, well, welcome to the club. The Republicans have lived with Michael Moore and Oliver Stone and most of Hollywood as a fact of life.
Yet, maybe the finest moment of Sundays program was the following statement made by ABCs George Will during the panel discussion:
Now, Democrats can get as angry as they want, unless they have been silent on Michael Moore and "Fahrenheit 9/11" because they have a very selective conscience about lying!

I don't think it's a good thing for members of the laughingstock '9/11 Commission' to give their stamp of approval to anything.

There are some hate filled people commenting at that site.
And some seriously deluded folks as well.
My favorite loony lefty comment: "Michael Moore's movie was not fiction".
Unbelievable.

His was what you would call extremely selective editing...

I don't think that even Moore himself would claim that it was a legitimate documentary. Though who knows?

By all means, let's give THOSE fools the power to run this country!
Not.
My personal favorite:
Thank God for Katrina Vanden Heuvel on This Week today. She blew Will and his bs out of the water.
Re: Lehmans comparison to Michael Moore and F-9/11. Moore offered thousands of dollars to anyone who could find a factual error in F-911. Who collected? No one. Explain that, John Lehman.
Will ABC/Disney make a similar offer regarding the accuracy of their bogus film? Wish they would. We would all be rich.

The 9/11 Commission was STACKED with with hacks, to INSURE a cover up..
Gorelick should have been answering questions, instead of asking them.
What documents did "Burglar" stuff into his shorts and socks -- and WHY?
One day -- the public will insist a REAL commission determine the truth, and tell the people.
We've been lied to, and they continue to lie...
"Civil Servants" my ass --- Corrupt Clowns would be more accurate..

Yes the truth will eventually come forth, but I really, really, doubt it will be told during our lifetime....:( Bubba has long tentacle in the mediaWHORE industry and they'll continue to cover his *&& as long as possible...:(

Kean has actually been doing a stand-up job with regards to the controversy over this movie.

They showed little to no interest in this commission...so I doubt they would ask for another one, certainly not if it is going to produce a written report. If it were to come out with a 'made for TV' movie on the other hand...

I thought the same thing! When I read,
"Thank God for Katrina Vanden Heuvel, I thought I would lose my lunch. If ever there was a radical Socialist, it is Vanden Heuvel.
It's sad that so many people are uninformed. Difficult to believe someone would really believe Michael Moore's film was not fiction! I'd question anyone's integrity and intelligence that would give credence to that buffoon!

Something here doesn't seem right. The Path to 9/11 is listed as a docudrama based on th 9/11 Commission report. It airs over 2 nights up against Sunday and Monday Night Football (ESPN). However, something I have not seen advertised is the documentary simply titled 9/11 described as an "update on emergency responders to September 11 attacks". It comes on at the same time "Path" does on local channels and runs for two hours. It's almost as if they are trying to hype "Path" to the point where we don't even know about the other documentary. However, I have my direct tv dvr and will be recording both.

Good morning.
"Thank God for Katrina Vanden Heuvel"
I wonder if anyone has ever uttered those words before without breaking out in hysterical laughter?
Not bloody likely, I would bet.

Probably because the movie has already been edited.
