Kerry: Bush uses 9/11 as ‘political pawn’

Sen. John F. Kerry yesterday blasted the Bush administration for war and homeland security policies that he said leave Americans more vulnerable to attack.
Kerrys remarks came in a Faneuil Hall speech on the eve of tomorrows five-year anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.
In his fourth speech this year at the venue, Kerry accused the administration of using the tragedy that killed about 3,000 Americans to justify the war in Iraq.
It is immoral to treat 9/11 as a political pawn (to) excuse the invasion of Iraq, Kerry said. They were attacked and killed not by Saddam Hussein but by Osama bin Laden.
Kerry, who is likely prepping for another presidential run, urged Democrats to redeploy from Iraq, recommit to Afghanistan, reduce our dependence on foreign oil, reinforce our homeland defense and restore Americas moral leadership in the world. Kerry also laid out the strategy in a Boston Herald Op-Ed column yesterday.
He called the London terror plot to blow up trans-Atlantic airplanes - thwarted last month - an example of the need to bolster the focus on Afghanistan.
The Bush-Cheney administration (has) cut and run even as we learn (the plans mastermind) was an al-Qaeda leader operating from Afghanistan, Kerry said. Thats right - the same killers who attacked us on 9/11 are still plotting attacks against America, and theyre still holed up in Afghanistan.
He also accused Republicans of playing politics with Homeland Security funding by decreasing funds for states that need it most - which happens to be blue states, while increasing it in the red states that need it least.

There aughta be a rule that after you've told your 9,999th lie, God will strike you dead.
In that event, this clown would have been dead decades ago.

Mush mouth SUPPORTED the war in Iraq back in 1997 and 1998. The case Kerry made then was still true in 2003.
Saddam was a state sponsor of terrorism and could not be permitted to get his hands on the WMD he was trying to obtain (no doubt that he was, there is doubt that he had ACQUIRED them).
John F. Kerry is a two-faced traitor.

Now the gigolo is whining that the President will create fear by using Iran nuclear ambitions. Dr. Rice handled that question VERY well. The lady is smart, and classy.

I'm sure glad that Kerry chose to deliver his speech blasting Bush for using 9/11 as a political pawn on September 9th. Had he delivered it two days later, the speech would have been criticized for politicizing 9/11, but with his deft, nuanced touch he managed to get in his political attacks on the 9th, rather than the 11th, so I guess that makes it a statesmanlike act rather than a whining polemic, huh...

Senator Kerry is another low-life in the Senate. Without his wealth and privileged upbringing, he would be less than a nobody today. He has little credibility; his motives are transparent; and he is a genuine snob. His statements and positions vary all over the place. It makes me wonder about the voters in the State of Massachussetts! How can anyone take seriously anything that comes out of his mouth? Why does he not talk about the 3,000 people who died in 9/11. If he were in charge their lives would be in vain. He would just shake his fist and bite his lower lip and say we will track down those criminals (using the UN) and give them a fair trail. What a scumball!

Who is using 9-11 as a political pawn? Kerry, you ignorant arse, GWB is the President and has a Constitutional duty to deal with 9-11. You are a junior Senator and have no such National duty. Instead, as democRATs seem to be pathologically prone to do, you are projecting to beat the band. Will the MSM pundits point that out with withering critisim of that idiot Kerry? After all, if would be soooo easy to do. No, they would rather pursue continued ratings from controversy instead of fulfilling the real Constitutional role the First Amendment was written for ... exposing frauds like John F'n Kerry.
