I didn't hear if anyone was planning for a live thread of the film tonight. Just in case anyone wants to start early. Some in Australia already have seen part 1. Part 1 airs tonight at 8pm Eastern Time on ABC.
I was working on Rector St. I'll never forget the sight of the 2 hands and forearms bound by the plastic tie lying on the sidewalk not long after I came out of the building. Ill never forget running away from Broadway and Cedar St as the first building came down. Ill never forget coughing my lungs and guts out from the dust. I'll never forget who our enemies are. I'll never forget the guys and gals I worked with at Cantor and Euro Brokers.
I will be watching the POTUS tonight for sure. As for ABC's 2nd night, it's hard to think they could dream up anything new that hasn't already been thrown at this President about a thousand times.
Good to see you too Lisa, things are well here, take care.
Yes. As we all now know, that was actually the beginning of the real path to 9-11.
What a legacy for the peanut man.
Much like the current leftists are blaming this President Bush for things that happened before he became President, they are now also blaming Reagan for things that happened during peanuthead.
Apparently the rehab facility was unable to perform a successful craniorectal seperation.
We'll have to agree to disagree there. Executives come and go, senators are forever. They failed miserably.
Well, the game is the Chargers vs. the Raiders, so here in San Diego, the local ABC affiliate is going to be showing the game intead of the rest of this miniseries, so we have to wait until Saturday to see the rest of it. They had a crawl acros the movie last night letting us know that lovely fact.
I believe there was actually two escapes from the prison in Yemen.
Regarding Clinton, it's obvious he had no plans to hit full throttle when it came to hunting down the terrorists that had killed Americans over the years. He ran from Farah Aided in Somalia after allowing 18 of our soldiers die. He failed to pursue those involved in the Khobar Towers bombing. In fact, Louis Freeh wrote about that in his book. Here's a link to an article regarding his attempts to get permission to interrogate the individuals arrested for Khobar:
Freeh says he repeatedly asked Clinton to seek help from the Saudis in getting access to the perps. However, Clinton never did ask, and Freeh eventually sought help from ex-President Bush. George H.W. Bush immediately requested assistance from then Crown Prince Abdullah and got it, and the FBI finally gained the access they had been seeking. If I remember correctly, the only thing Bill Clinton asked from Prince Abdullah was a donation for his library in Arkansas. But of course we didn't see any of this article in the movie last night, nor will we probably see it tonight.
With each ensuing terrorist attack, the response from the Clinton Administration became less and less. Freeh wrote in that article that he believed our lack of response actually brought on more attacks, and one would have to believe that since we haven't been attacked on our soil again since the deployment of our troops to Afghanistan and Iraq. Surely, fighting them over there instead of in our streets here has to be the right action.
They play right into the terrorists game plan. Thank God we are here. We will always proudly carry the flag and none of us will forget where we were when the war began.
Personally, I don't believe anyone would have any need for a knife or a pair of scissors on board a plane. After having spent 23 years working in uniforrm in NY State prisons, I have my own concept of what security is. I'm a firm believer in "better safe than sorry." Overreacting is better than not acting at all.
I can see where that one would have exposed you. No swear words and it's quite reasonable.
It appears that ABC has indeed caved into X42 and this criminal enterprise known as the Democratic party and that is really sad and unfortunate.
The Democrats know full well that 9/11 was the result of failed and cowardly policies of the Clinton Administration. Yet, they continue to live in a blatant state of denial.
The blood of those who died 10 years ago is on the hands of X42 and those who continue to hero worship him.
Let us hope and pray we never ever let the Democrats come back into power again. This party clearly seems to be more interested in preserving and protecting this X42's legacy than in helping keep our nation safe from these terrorists.
The Deomcratic is a criminal enterpris. It's time to put it out of business.
Regards!!!!!!!!
I did. I thought it was utterly brainless, cliched and hackneyed. That's just my opinion. We already know what happened and how the Clinton administration sold us down the river. I assume anyone who is learning this now, from a movie of the week must be very out of the loop. If you find it interesting to watch then great. I'm not implying that this version of the facts is news to anyone on Freep.
I think they allowed Clinton to look like the giant failure he is/was. I was pleased. I also enjoyed the part where the Muzzies were shooting at his picture on the TV. Quite enjoyable.
Could they obtain a dismissal on the ground that the plaintiff stole evidence they need to establish their defense (that the allegedly "defamatory" statements are true)?
What did you expect after the Wellstone 'memorial' fiasco? They have no respect for anything or anyone.
That is the vile insanity of the Stalinist Left. Blame Bush for everything.
I truly have nothing but contempt for them.
I accept the film's basic facts but things were missing in my opinion.
For starters. We made a serious mistake in supporting Bin Laden's Islamists in Bosnia, and siding with them in Chechnya. The Clinton administration was in bed with him while we were being peppering with bombings. Sounds like a Munich sellout to me.
The big picture of what's going on world wide, was lacking.
