I didn't hear if anyone was planning for a live thread of the film tonight. Just in case anyone wants to start early. Some in Australia already have seen part 1. Part 1 airs tonight at 8pm Eastern Time on ABC.

Seems to me that they changed the planned assassination of former President Bush to be the planned assassination of bubba.

Which makes Clinton look even worse IMO. They show terrorists shooting at pictures of the American President, calling him satan, burning him in effigy...and Clinton just lowers his pants some more.

I thought is was excellent. Most scenes were left in. Go to post 3242 and there is a link with an article about "censored" parts. I think that there was so much publicity around the rats saying to dump this movie that ABC left most of them in. LOL All the network really did was to state several times that this movie was a dramatization,not a documentary. (Though I don't remember Michael Moore being asked to do so ;)

I have to actually commend ABC on this. Of course the Bush Administration's years are on tomorrow evening. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully with truth.

I have no idea what the backgrounds of any of the people involved with "The Path to 9/11" might be, but if the scurrilous left wants to go down this road we will be justified in expelling everyone in TV-land and Hollyweird who has any connection with leftist groups, relatives with secular agendas, etc. Oh, wait, if we did that there's be NO ONE left to make TV shows and movies.....

I loved part one, even if some things were cut. It was powerful, gripping, accurately portrayed Clinton in his dereliction (and worse), and I am sure it connected many dots for people who didn't follow the terrorists' trail the way some of us have. Clinton's administration was shown without the star-struck glaze that Hollywood etc. gave them for so many years.

I believe this is a very good tool for people to actually see the face of the enemy that has seemed so faceless for years. It's difficult for a president to rally a nation to stay at a war when we so seldom see the enemy, and we can't learn about a lot of what enemy plots (dead Americans, smashed buildings, poisoned water supplies, whatever) were foiled. This movie brings things into a sharp and clear focus.

I thought it was fairly accurate portrayal of the events leading up to 9/11....this was always to be a docudrama so I guess the dems don't understand what that word means....I loved the scenes with Aintbright they were eerily accurate....as the old saying goes if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen
