After minor edits in response to Democratic critics, the miniseries will air as scheduled. It's already set off a bitter election-year dispute. Walt Disney Co.'s ABC is forging ahead with plans to air a miniseries starting Sunday despite controversy over its efforts to dramatize — and some say unfairly politicize — the events leading up to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Producers said late Friday that they had finished making minor edits to "The Path to 9/11" amid a firestorm of protests from leading Democrats including Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, who warned that telecasting "right-wing political propaganda" might violate the terms of ABC's government-mandated broadcast license.

Accusing Bush of orchestrating 9-11 = fair, balanced and needing serious examination. Something that every American should read/see/hear about.
Accusing Clinton of letting Osama go = slanderous lie that should be ignored by the population at large. Something that should be not censored, just not allowed to be shown anywhere.
Yep, this is the real story ... and yes I believe that broadcasters all across the nation are seeing this and having second thoughts about their continued enabling of the Dem (liberal) party. After all, they have no wish to go to the gulag

Don't expect any dramatic turnarounds. Afterm all many of the leading media mouthpieces are former Democrat flunkies. However, the "chilling effect" WILL be felt by those in the corporate media positions who weild the real power. They may decide to hire fewer Democrat flunkies (Chris Matthews, Stephanopolis, etc.) and actually hire more Repbulcian flunkies.

Timid Television Execs Took Out Some Scenes after Clinton Clamor
Washington, DC – The Traditional Values Coalition released footage today from an ABC-TV docudrama “The Path to 9/11” which was edited as a result of a tantrum by former President Bill Clinton because it portrayed him unfavorably.

“Mr. Clinton doesn’t want the American people to know that he and his team sat on their hands after terrorists attacked a U.S. Navy ship and bombed the World Trade Center the first time,” said TVC Chairman, Rev. Louis P. Sheldon.
Scenes which portrayed an ineffective Clinton Administration headed by a President distracted by the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal and his own impeachment are now missing from the television docudrama.
“The President who never had sex with ‘that woman’, who didn’t know what ‘is’ meant and who lied to a grand jury, now wants to be the wizard of truth and accuracy. And, the liberal ABC executives go weak in the knees when Mr. Clinton shrieks.
“ABC-TV has surrendered. If you want to get something on ABC-NEWS or keep it off ABC-NEWS, call Mr. Clinton! He’ll take you into the editing booth, and you can show them what you like and don’t like.
“America lost respect for Mr. Clinton a long time ago. But we expected more of the First Amendment-quoting ABC news executives. They should be ashamed.”
TVC Executive Director, Andrea Lafferty, called ABC-TV’s attempts to appease the angry former President “a travesty of American journalism.”
“ABC TV invited me to preview the docudrama. The ABC executive at the preview made it clear that some scenes were a compilation of a few events, but that the docudrama was factual. Lawyers from ABC vetted all of this thoroughly, but that didn’t stop the executives from caving in when Mr. Clinton threw a fit.
“Mr. Clinton was more interested in pursuing Ms. Lewinsky and other frat boy antics than he was in getting bin Laden.
“ABC-TV has now been proven to be owned and operated by Mr. Clinton and the vast left wing conspiracy. ABC’s lack of spine is what is ‘despicable,’ not this factual program.”

That's because the first half has been edited and the the rapist dodges the blame once again....the second half will show that Bush is responsible for 9-11...of course, the NYTimes is happy!
No, not expecting anything. But just the fact that someone at ABC Corp gave the go ahead to spend $40mil producing this thing means that there might be a crack in the lib dominated armor of the MSM. An inside job ... Accounting or the CFO or someone like that sought to stop the financial bleeding of the corporation and decided to take action. Money talks, and BS walks. Perhaps instead of drowning on the Dem Titanic, this CFO or Accountant figured that ABC Corp would be better off being reasonable instead of throwing their ante to the Dems all the time.

Maybe, even probably, but I'm sure Rush, and all the other folks who have seen the version from before the edits causes by the threats and other pressure. Threats such as:
