If someone attacked your mother, would you be upset? Would you protest? Im sure you would.
Well, the Mother of God is grossly insulted by the University of Virginias student newspaper, The Cavalier Daily, which printed a Nativity-like cartoon of Our Lady holding the Infant Jesus beside Saint Joseph on August 24.
The figure depicting Saint Joseph says: "Mary I don't mean to ruin this special moment, but how did you get that bumpy rash? suggesting a sexually transmitted disease. To which a Mary-figure says, I swear, it was Immaculately Transmitted.
This is outrageous public blasphemy! Click here to protest now.

Sorry, its just not Breaking News.
How is this Breaking News, chief?
Is there an embassy somewhere we can set on fire because of this?
I don't care that these heathens are committing blasphemy, that is their soul. Not to mention the concept of free speech. Even as disgusting as I think the cartoon is.
God has a Mom? No, sorry.
Thanks for the info.
The brats are practicing for their future jobs in the media.
Jesus has a mom, and Jesus IS God.
He always was God, even before becoming human. Was she his Mother then?

"Jesus has a mom, and Jesus IS God."

With regard to Jesus' humanity, Mary is his mother. With regard to His deity, He is her Creator.

No, but if you deny Mary's title as "Mother of God," you deny Jesus' divinity, since He's fully God and full human, since the Incarnation.
Anyway, I saw Brit Hume do a segment on this (I guess he considered it news)and he mentioned that the paper also had a cartoon a while back that made fun of homosexuals and that they immediately pulled it and apologized but are refusing to do the same with this one.
True, but you must not deny that since the Incarnation, His divinity and humanity are inseparable. If you think this, then you make Jesus two beings, when He is one being with two natures.
You are like the Muslims in that you get all upset over an offense to your god in a far away place, giving it far more publicity that it otherwise would have had.
However, I applaud you for not calling for heads to be cut off. That is a BIG differentiator.
Well, that caught my attention: a genuine Theotokos/Christotokos debate on FR!
