Five families who attempted to have their Batavia high students transferred out of a transgender teacher's class have been told their children will stay put.
The district received five written requests from parents requesting their children be moved out of the classroom led by a teacher who changed sexes from male to female.
Batavia's superintendent denied the request because they did not meet district guidelines.
The teacher will instruct about 100 students this year.
Government forcefully putting kids in an uncomfortable and undesireable environment, and not allowing them any alternative. How tolerent of them.
Rochester ping
Send the kids to school wearing t-shirts with Lincoln's words:
"Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Zowie! That'll leave a mark :-).
There's enough case law about t-shirts and the First Amendment to fight it. They won't get any help from the ACLU, because THOSE civil liberties are only for leftists, but the ACLJ and Liberty Counsel would jump in with both feet.
Depends on if the families have the cubes, or if they're just going to knuckle under.
He's mentally disabled but that doesn't disqualify him from teaching. Welcome to the public school system.
Do whatever it takes to remove your kids from government indoctrination institutes (aka pubic schools).
Do it today.
Homeschooling is not as hard as you think.
And I'd bet that the school would win under a 'dress code' for disruptive message on a t-shirt. It's happened before with 'straight pride' shirts and confederate flag belt buckles etc.
(yes, pubic)
I blame the laws of NY, for not allowing the district to fire him if they want, and the parents from removing their kids if they want, and the kids from laughing at him if they want. NY laws mandate that we praise this freak and bend to his wishes, while he makes no accomodations for the many people he is inconviencinig and making very uncomfortable.
If you don't think they should fight, why did you even bring this to anyone's attention? What's your suggestion?
Or did you just want everyone to say tsk-tsk, isn't that terrible?
A report on this last night is that the kids have been given strict instructions and there will be strict punishments.
This kids have to refer to him as a "her" and call him "Miss" whatever. If they slip or even once call him "Mr" or "him" they will be expelled and it will go on their permanent record.
Radio interviews of kids from school were incredible, yet every kid called her a him.. After 2 weeks if that happens they will be charged with harassment.. I cannot find the interview with the kids.
This is an interview with the superintendent of schools before school started.

I would yank my kids in a heartbeat and my kids have already said they would not go, I have 2 in high school and one in college.
I'm saying your t-shirt idea is not a good one. Thats all.
As my friend said when she pulled her Junior High School kids to homeschool -- 'I would rather they were illiterate than that they should be subjected to the local school district.'
Illiteracy does not preclude common sense, which is something we are going to HAVE to give our kids if we expect this nation to survive. Which it will.
I would not stand for this him/her as a parent. These students will be guffawing and the bright ones will be expelled. It will be GOOOOOD on their records. "Can you explain to me why...."
He should assign him the janitor's room and give him only the kids who are about to be expelled. The gang kids.
Get out. Education is an opportunity, not a jail term. Run screaming. Fight at every turn. Never give an inch.
Or else, bend over.
