September 7, 2006 -- AN infuriated Warren Buffett has renounced one of his granddaughters - telling her she is no longer his relative "legally or emotionally" because she took part in a documentary about the lives of the very rich.
Nicole Buffett, the adopted daughter of Buffett's son Peter and biological daughter of Peter's ex-wife Mary, was featured in Jamie Johnson and Nick Kurzon's documentary, "The One Percent," which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival this year and is a follow-up to Johnson's "Born Rich."
Enraged that Nicole not only participated in the documentary, but also plugged it on National Public Radio and "Oprah," Buffett wrote Nicole an "angry letter" two weeks ago telling her she was no longer part of his life, a source tells Page Six.

I watched the "Born Rich". It was insightful, can't wait to see the follow-up.
I really don't know that much about him either. I just told the hubby that I thought it was an interesting show. She was not critical of him in any way.
I wonder if we'll Stalinize her out of family photos?
I didn't see anything wrong with her interview. For some reason I was actually home and flipping channels. I figured the guy from the Johnson family would have been in more trouble.
Wow, can Jimmie Buffet be far behind?
I smell lawyers behind this. When Buffet dies, expect Nicole and others to contest distribution of his estate. She's positioning herself for this battle now.
He's been telling the rest of us that no matter how screwed up his kids get, they'll be a public charge and not on his mealticket.
I didn't realize he was such a mean man.
I guess you could call this a "late life abortion", since WB funds them with foundations. May it turn out to be a great advantage to this brave ex-grandaughter.
Maybe she said she voted for Bush.
The reason he has so dramatically disinherited his offsprings is very simple, given his personality defects:
They have one less reason to want to kill him.
A little study of the history of filthy rich familys shows that inherited great wealth is not the boon that most working people would assume it is.
Very wealthy familys are always disfunctional as are their members.
Does anybody envy Paris Hilton's life? Why can't she see that? Do you think the life of the Gettys (for example) was/is a bed of roses?
I live in Omaha--most of us don't buy it.
Since he's donating much of his fortune to the abortion industry maybe he's hoping he can get them to do a late (18yr) term abortion on her.
Man, what a typical limousine liberal asshole. He can dish it out until he's blue in the face, but as soon as he gets some back in his direction he goes bananas.
He paid for her education, so it's hardly true that he never helped her out. People on this forum love to rail againt the "spoiled trust-fund" kids, and now your criticizing him because he never gave his family more?
On the other hand, it's understandable that she would participate in a documentary like that, but this response seems extreme.
Buffett is a jerk. A very weird jerk. I guess Buffett wants to eliminate her as a granddaughter as his son divorced her mother and this is the excuse. The man is extremely stingy with his own family. Sorry, but it's got nothing to do with "values" and everything to do with his strange need for control, etc.
