Numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 - I would have vetoed ANY piece of legislation that contained ANY earmarked spending.

Number 10 - I would NOT have invaded Iraq which, after all, did not constitute a serious threat to U.S. security interests.

Another point, what southern states were used? I am from Alabama, have 2 wonderful Senators and for the most part great representatives. This makes me alot happier with the GOP, helps their image. But I bet most of the southern women polled were from states where their politicians don't have as much backbone. :)

I imagine I was voting when you were still in diapers. I'm far better informed about politics than about 98% of Americans.

I'm also a very careful driver and do not hit either dogs OR moose when in a car. So I don't have to make that choice of which to hit.

I took a stand. While you neo-cons were demonstrating in the streets against our Vietnam involvement, I was spending two tours in that country getting shot at. Quite frankly, I have come to believe I wasted my 25 years of military service defending jerks like you.

But number 10 sounds like it comes straight out of the Democrat Playbook as written by Michael Moore.

Tell me why exactly Iraq wasn't a threat.

I wish there was a viable alternative but there just isn't. Look at what the Rats are trying to do to Lieberman, the last "Scoop Jackson" Democrat left.

The problem is as the Rats move further left, they drag the GOP leftward with them as moderates flee the Rat Party for the GOP.

There needs to be a split somewhere in the future in one of the parties.

You're right. I say what I think, not what I think the doofuses out there want to hear, which is what 99% of politicians do.

If the clowns on this board represent what passes for Republicans nowadays, I can sure understand why the GOP is in deep doo-doo. From what I've read, very few of 'em are able to think for themselves.

I appreciate your courage and service to our country. Words cannot express the thanks we owe you. However, it is sad that you seem bitter about an awful lot of things.

Rush often makes the point that what differentiates liberals from conservatives is that liberals are perpetually unhappy and conservatives are perpetually optimistic. By his criteria, you have left the conservative movement. Sorry to see you go.
