The democrats in Congress have to face very soon what President Bush suggested today regarding new legislation for terrorists trials and treatments, so the liberal media can distract as much as they want but it is not going to work as usual.

I hope the Dems do scream some more about "secret prisons." I'm darn glad we have 'em and the Supreme Court and UN don't know where they are. And I betcha most Americans agree.

What would a near-misunderestimation be? An underestimation?

Is "keep clam" another old FR thing, too?
I think it should be added to the glossary;-)

Hi CBB-

Good to hear that you think the Hildebeast is gonna be dead meat-- I think she'll go for the moonbat vote to try to win the Primary, and still likely fail to get the nomination. But if she somehow pulls off the nomination, she will lose handily.

What's up with the Taylor-Shuler race? Is Taylor going to pull this out IYO?

Rob

Shuler is an empty suit with no knowledge of government, and financially tied to the left-wing unions -- which the voters of the 11th District, including many conservative Democrats, do not like. It is a measure of Taylor's unattractiveness in this election that he is running behind to this empty suit, and in the toughest fight of his incumbency.

Taylor will take out of his pocket at the last minute enough money to buy himself a win. He's done that repeatedly. However, this time both that, and dishonest advertising, and vote fraud in a few counties like Madison, will NOT be enough to bring home Charlie's bacon, for the ninth time. IMHO.

The MSM is screaming on this...

Indeed they are. So are the Ds, which is the same thing. The Pres has made a strong play. If he wins he will have an R Congress. If he loses he may have a partially D Congress which he would possibly have had anyway. So he jumped into the campaign with little to lose and maybe something to gain, and it was totally about the legal environment of the WOT and so a valid Public Speech. The campaign season has begun seriously.

Here's why the democrats will loose on this issue.

I think the Bush trump card is that he and the rest of the executive branch know they have the nastiest of bad guys held at gitmo, the dims have no way of knowing just who is being held their, and what their history is, and years from now (2008) the dems will be on record as shilling for the worst enemies of this nation.

The President just pulled one of the best maneuvers of his entire presidency...

Unfortunately, may get drowned out by the "bin Laden amnesty" propaganda circulating around the net. But glad to see they are finally taking the initiative. One doesn't want to give the impression that this is all election year marketting, but it probably was a good idea to wait after the Labor Day weekend to do a "new product roll-out" in the WOT.

The point is they are screaming about these 'secret prisons' and it is already going to drown out the real message. They will go after this to the point of distraction....AGAIN!

The DBM may be screaming about the secret prisons, but I'm willing to bet the average American doesn't give a rat's patoot what we have done to the terrorists, as long as they aren't running loose in this country.

I'm happy about the bin Laden amnesty thing. Maybe the cockroach will think the lights have been turned off and he can scurry out of his little crack in the wall... with an armed predator circling above.

Congress must act and give the President everything he asked for. Could anyone listen honestly to that speech and not think so? You need special measures against the world's most dangerous people.

Further.... Bush, his crew and our military are all fighting for our lives and even the dumbest citizen should now be able to clearly see this...but they wont.

You are right they won't. Problem is trying to convince the mentally ill is quite a chore.

I have always found it odd that the good people of South Carolina keep sending "Loafers" to the Senate.

Go figure.
