COPENHAGEN, Sept. 5 — The Danish security police arrested nine suspects on Tuesday on suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack after surveillance showed that several of the men had collected bomb-making material, Justice Minister Lene Espersen said.
An antiterror squad carried out a raid in Vollsmose, a poor immigrant district in Odense, at 2 a.m. The suspects appeared at a closed hearing on Tuesday, where two were released and the others were charged with plotting acts of terrorism.
No details of a plot were released. Investigators said it was too early to know how far the suspects’ plans had progressed. “With the general terror situation, the Danish Security Intelligence Service didn’t want to run any unnecessary risk,” said Lars Findsen, the service’s director general.
Ms. Espersen said that nearly all nine were Danish citizens, and that Denmark was their likely target.
“This is what is most alarming: these are Danish citizens living in Denmark that have been plotting a terror attack in Denmark,” she said. Danish intelligence officials said the men were between 18 and 35 and were Muslims who appeared to have been recently radicalized. Nearly all lived in Vollsmose, which has 10,000 residents representing more than a dozen nationalities, and has grappled with youth violence, high unemployment and difficulties integrating its large Muslim community.

I seriously considered that possibility until I read the "oldest" is 35.
as we all know, unless you are a conservative, you can't really be held responsible for your actions until you turn at least 35.

I think this is significant progress. Since 7/7 the radicals have moved alot of their opperations to Denmark and Holland. Even those "open societies" aren't going to tollerate the destructions the Islamofacists promise.

Dave, I have evidence that the Airport Security guys amy have accepted your theory. In Columbus, OH, They were threatening to strip-search an 85-year-old, Mrs. Olsen from Lake Minnetonka. A dangerous radical Lutheran if I ever saw one, stoned on lutefisk and looking for jihad-trouble.
OTOH, the Security guys were Somali Muslims between 17 and 40 years old. Go figure.

The TSA guys/gals/its are very unpredictable.
A couple of years ago, we flew back for my MIL's funeral with quickly made reservations.
Apparently, my wife who is very fair skinned and reddish/blonde aka Copper hair, had the honor of triggering the full Monty search both ways, and I was along because I was with her.
After she was patted down on the way there, the female/it TSA started going through the books she was carrying in her carry on bag and started asking questions. Finally, I had enough and started asking questions about Ludlum as she held his latest book, like, "Do you thing that he writes any of his books any more? Does TSA really inspect Ludlum if he comes through because he is so left wing now?
She and her supervisor glared at me and let her and me go on the check in line.
On the way back, we got into an even more severe search. We and others were herded into a small room with other herdees. Again my fair skinned wife was the target. I was through with my benign questions and wanding with no pat down. Finally after about 3 minutes of watching my wife get hassled, I signalled the supervisor over. He asked me what I wanted. I asked him if it was normal procedure to put a grandmother through this flipping bs particuliarly since she buried her mother the day before. He said they didn't know that my wife's Mother had just died. I said, "You do now, you f-----g a's." Then, he said due to the short buytime of the tickets she hit the unlucky random number to be really searched. I just glared at him until he waved to the female/it TSAer to let my wife go.
On the way out of the small room, a pilot for the airline, was stuffing his shirt back in his pants and putting his shoes back on. I looked at him and his harrassers and said, "Must be the PC day to harrass fair skinned blondes with no accent.!" His harrassers let him go on through.
