To all Freepers and all Florida Voters, I issue my thoughts and feelings about this Florida Primary, a campaign of which I myself have no vote in ! ---------------------------------------------------------
Congresswoman Katherine Harris has waged a long hard run for the GOP nomination for the seat of U.S. Senator from Florida, now occupied by incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson .
As many of you on this forum know, Katherine lost her dear beloved father George Harris earliar this year . The loss of a father takes an emotional toll, even in the advanced years of one's life .
I would say to the detractor's of Harris, especially those who have claimed extreme difficulty in working around her in the last few months, , , please take into account all that has happend and all that has thrown in front of her goal for higher office, a goal she has turned down more than once for the sake of party loyalty - - a loyalty that has not been reciprocated by the RNC leadership - -
Rep Katherine Harris is human, like us all, and like all of us, she makes mistakes, we can be difficult to work with, intemperate, short with others .
For all good conservatives and all good people in Florida, let us not fall down the DemonCrat path of petty spite over past slights ~ lets us all join together to fight the good fight, win or lose - -
let us act honorably and decently,
Do not let what the Libs and Lefties have done to so many of us decent Americans corrupt us into their way of thinking and doing ~ let us prove we are the Good People, The Crats are The Bad .
The dem party won't.
Who said I was going to vote for the Dem?
Of course America is a Christian country. The majority of the people in it are Christian.
Our government is secular, Our Nation IS NOT SECULAR.
You want to tell Katherine Harris or should I? When it sounds like the candidate doesn't think the government should be secular, I get wary.
I'll probably not vote for Nelson, either. In fact, after looking over the 3rd Party candidates, I'll probably write my own name in. Not the first time I've done that.
" But only Christians should join the Republican one?"
Only if they don't want to support the cause of homosexuals, lesbians, abortionists, femminists, ACLU, gun grabbers, etc.
It will drive the Democrats totally mad.
As for her remarks, they pale in comparison to what Democrats have not only said but done.
This is one voter that finds it refreshing to see someone take a stand and make a mark.
What do you think will happen if voters don't support Harris?
That is a great story! LOL!
Yes, we cannot allow ourselves to be corrupted or persuaded by the defamation against our people by the LIBERAL MASS MEDIA .
If we do, the DemoCRATS will win everytime .
>>But that's not really relevant here. The problem with Katherine Harris has nothing to do with her politics, it's her personality. Having a reputaion for throwing fits and not being able to work with people, appearing on TV sticking her chest out, making statements that imply all non-Christians are sinners, etc. These are what turn the voters off and what make her unelectable. She might be able to get the base out, but she attracts virtually no moderate or indepenent support.<<
You are sounding just like a cynical liberal there !
Or else you've allowed the POISON of the Liberal Pundits and Leftwing talshow hosts to poison your thinking .
What you imply of Katheriine Harri's pro-Christian statements is exactly what the Liberal would imply .
I'll take Katherine's personality over that of Hillary Clinton's or Cynthia McKinney's anyday<--- No GOP congressperson would ever get away with acting like a thug on Capitol Hill !
Nelson will win. And the GOP would have to waste energy defending a Senator who seems to have troubles keeping her feet out of her esophagus.
