You and me both. I haven't understood the animus against her, but OTOH I'm not a Florida resident.
To: Lunatic Fringe
Not only is she going to win, but if the final numbers hold up, she is going to absolutely decimate her nearest rival by 19 points!
Gee, the way some have been talking about all her "negative baggage" you would have thought this primary would have been competitive. The harsh reality is, is that this race - as demonstrated by the results - was not even competitive! A resounding show of support for Harris. There is simply no other way to spin it.

Katherine Harris is no carpet bagger. She's 3rd generation Floridian, which is a LOT more than most people who live there can say.
PS My grandfather, having settled in central Florida in 1929, was a friend of Ben Hill Griffin, her grandfather, who made a fortune in the citrus growing industry.

Wonder if she'd loan my wife her waistline for a few weeks.
Maybe my beloved would grow used to it and want one of her own.....

Could be and it would be consistent with the way the Pubbies have handled outrageous charges over the past six years. Unfortunately they (the Libs) don't go away if you just ignore them. And the charges stick.

... I don't know anything about this Florida race, but I do know that everyone is out to get her, and that, in of itself, is a reason for me to root for her. I don't know squat about Harris, but this picture is enough for me to root for her.

I sent Katherine flowers in 2000 during the SoreLoserman debacle - she saved the nation then. I'll gladly send her another round when she wins the Senate seat! In lieu of flowers late in the game, how about sending a contribution now instead?

Isn't she about the most Conservative person in the Congress?? Isn't that who the Walk on Water Conservatives want? Seems to be a fly in the ointment if you ask me.
Let's keep track of these "conservatives" if you know what I mean.

She carries way too much negative baggage.Yeah. It's all in those buckets of make-up she applies with a spatula, and her pesky attention to details like the letter of the law.

"FR seems to be inhabited with people from outer space. No other answer to the madness these days." You have spoken the truth.
Get on any thread that has Florida's election and Katherine Harris and you'll think you have landed in DU land.
P.S......I think that's in outer space somewhere....;-)

Last I checked...it was the establishment that was trying to get rid of Harris.
I see no reason for any conservative to dislike her positions. Nor do I see any reason a conservative would fear 200 backlash, we generally like to combat the media. It's the establishment/moderates that tend to get weak over doing so.
That said I really don't know the breakdown of FR over Harris, and where they reside on the ideological scale. But I DO know it hasn't been folks like Rush, Levin, Hannity and all that have been going for her throat behind the scenes. Or in front of them for that matter. And they represent conservatives opinions fairly well.
And I have fought with her detractors more than a few times.

Theres two things in life
That I really love:
Thats women and horses,
This Im sure of.
So when I die,
Please tan my hide
And tool me into a saddle so fine.
And give me to a cowgirl
Who likes to ride,
So in the hereafter
I may rest
Between the two things
That I love best. Gary McMahan.
