1. Did Harris say she would put in $10M of her own money to win the Republican primary? Please cite your source reference if this is the case.

2. Did Harris get the tree info from another source, or are you inferring she made the story up on the fly?

Some people are just afraid and envious of a smart, successful woman. Even some conservatives.

Harris is a zillion times better than her opponent, Nelson. I do believe the Hispanic people, esp. Cubans, will turn out en masse for Katherine Harris.

Her resume:

A former IBM marketing executive and vice president of a commercial real estate firm, Congresswoman Harris earned a Master's Degree from Harvard University with a specialization in international trade and negotiations, and a Bachelor's Degree in history from Agnes Scott College. She studied abroad at the University of Madrid and at L'Abri outside Geneva, Switzerland. Congresswoman Harris has received numerous honors for her dedicated work on behalf of Florida including: the Mel Fisher Award for International Trade Advocacy; the Florida Economic Development Council Legislator of the Year Award; the Florida United Business Association Outstanding Legislator Award; the Florida Arts Advocacy Award; the Sarasota Manatee Jewish Family and Children Service's Philanthropy Award; the Sarasota Humanitarian of the Year Award and the Sarasota Statesman of the Year Award.

We voted repubs all the way for years . Last election we voted for them because we couldn't even think of giving a Democrat a vote . But it gets to where it doesn't matter anymore ,because the outcome is the same no matter who's in office.

I was all for the war , but not in Iraq . It was saudis who flew the planes and it's sauds who cause the most trouble . Iran is close second . I still stood behind our troops ,' one being my son who came back fine ' . I still do stand behind our troops who are over there with hands tied behind their backs, because of the PC crowd.

As much as I hate to admit it, I believe you are correct. Thanks for posting her CV.

It is well known that cubans in SE Florida tend to vote republican, but why do you think other hispanics in general will be so motivated to cross party lines?

That is exactly the line liberals use to rationalize why Hillary has such high negative numbers.

To be clear, I'm not equating Harris to Hillary, as Harris seems like a truly sincere and good person although she does have her Howard Dean moments where she gets carried away and says too much for her own good.

I'm just pointing out that if your statement is true then it lends credence to the liberal talking points which are totally inaccurate.

Well, the implication, as I saw it was that social conservatives were somehow to blame, when, in fact, most of the people who are badmouthing Katherine Harris seem to be of a secular/moderate bent.

You misread the original post as it was being sarcastic. The original post was a sarcastic attack on non-theocracy wing of the conservative movement

If you think that the demographics of Florida are similar to that of Alabama and Mississippi then I'm sorry I just give up

Thank you for your reply. - I never said that. - We certainly do have more urbanized ares.

What I am trying to say is that the demographics in this rapidly growing state are trending GOP, not DNC.

You are certainly correct about Florida being far different than other Southern States.

In recent elections, Florida has voted Republican rather than Democrat, both in State and National elections. We have a Republican Governor, rather than a line of former Democrat Governors, and both State Houses are controlled by Republicans. - Nary a Democrat to be seen.

We only have one Dem on the National stage, and we are trying to change that, as well.

Hey, we aren't up to the situation in the deep South, but we are going to get there. :)

Incidentally, by unofficial count, we are now more populous than NY, and it will probably be made official in the next census.

As long as the trend with so many delegates continues on its present path, the Dems will have to look to the SW to find swing States.

Of course, they know who butters their bread . SE Florida has progressed into a third world ghetto, compared to 40 years ago . Long gone is beautiful scenery , the vacation land of the south, the movie stars, like Jackie Gleason, Rita Hayward and many more who made Miami area their home. One of my best friends was a cuban and I have latino friends . They too are not happy with this new immigrant attitude . immigration is only good if controlled .

Bush says," they do the work Americans won' do " . Not true, they d the same work Americans did for good wages , period ! I think Catherine is for the power and the votes and amnesty, disguised as work program .

Their incessant need to butt their collectivist hive-mind noses into other people's business, particularly in areas where government has no reason or natural authority to intrude.

How dare you. What an arrogant position to take. Government is everyone's business. It's not just for atheistic secularists. Christians are people too, and we have the same right and responsibility to involve ourselves in government to our benefit, the same as everyone else. And you don't get to decide what issues Christians can or can not participate in. Or are you an ACLU member who wants all Christians barred from political activity. If so, why are you posting here? Your posts mirror the complaints you make about Christian activists, and make you sound like a totalitarian dictator.

Your post is so pathetic and ignorant, I barely have the strength to respond. I lost count of the knee-jerk hysterics.

Read my post once more, and then come back when you can stop playing the victim.

LOL, thats the last thing anyone would call me ! I'm considered too conservative by most . I'm older and not desensitized . I don't like to be humored or lied to . I think the Bible is Holy and not something to be fooled around with or changed to suit the new age. Never will I understand how you can hate the sin and love the sinner . I think you shouldn't hate at all, but I also don't think you should accept sin to be PC . Forgiveness comes when you repent, not continue in your sin .To me bad is still bad and good is still good .

davidosborne--you actively supported your candidates in the primary, and they became better candidates because of your support. I look forward to working with you for the rest of election season to oust the liberal Bill Nelson, and to keep a Republican in the FL Governor's mansion. We'll GOTV!

:o)

Sadly I do not think it is going to happen but then again. I am not sure some are conservative....We have heard nothing but she cannot win since she first started in politics....We have so many experts from outside the state...Harris supporters have been called rabid and many more things...I for one thank them....I would hope we would all be rabid over support of a conservative.....I think in the weeks to come those that continue to bash her and smear her will focus the attention on them...It may not be pretty to say the least....I was pretty happy last night at the results...She got almost as many votes as Crist....The total vote for both races was pretty close to the same....Yes she was a hundred thousand down but had more individuals to run against...I know that turnout is going to be key to winning this race...Who can turn out the most on election day will deterime the winner...That is where the Republicans shine.....Nelson has been ducking but the time for ducking is over....

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results ! Any chance of ever seeing another real republican again is to clean out the impostors ,imo .

20,000 new visas given to arabs flying in since January is not a good 'conservative ' step imo. Use search engines ! Giving millions amnesty and calling it by another name only proves the naivety of the citizens . Get informed while you still can .
