TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Katherine Harris won the Republican primary for a U.S. Senate seat.
Her campaign has a, shall we say, troublesome relationship with the truth.
Example?
Preferably with reference. . .
Well, that's enough for me. I'll support her, too. :-)
I'll support her too, even though I live in another state.
We can never go wrong supporting someone Laz thinks is cute. :-)
She might hire me for something kinky.
Oh please G-d, let her hire me for something kinky.
Yes, you are mistaken. The support/opposition to Harris did not break down along ideological lines, but along emotional vs rational lines: those who wanted a different nominee because of her horribly run campaign and abysmal poll numbers, and those who liked her and figured she was owed their support for 2000, and perhaps didn't believe the polls.
Those who wanted a different nominee than Harris were accused of being liberal RINO true conservative Bush puppet Bush-bashers.
Your inference is illogical and unfounded. Let's reverse your assertion:
It is lazy to assume that nothing in the media is fabricated
Face it, unless you were present for every Harris incident reported in the media, you are gulping their chicanery served up in quantities comparable to triple venti latte with pink sugar.
After all, the media only reports the unvarnished truth, everyday. You know that better than anyone.
Feel the love
If you think that the demographics of Florida are similar to that of Alabama and Mississippi then I'm sorry I just give up.
The fact that Florida is so much more urbanized than other southern states should tell you something.
If it doesn't help then just look at the 2004 presidental results...
Georgia - Bush by 17%
Alabama - Bush by 26%
Mississippi - Bush by 20%
S Carolina - Bush by 14%
N Carolina - Bush by 12%
Kentucky - Bush by 20%
Florida - Bush by 5%
Surely that helps you understand that the demographics of Florida are quite different than that of other southern states.
Florida has a lot more urban areas than other southern states and it also has a lot more transplants than other southern states. This might not be having an affect exactly where you live but the effect does exist.
The culture of southeast Florida is also quite different than the rest of the south except for maybe Atlanta.
That people claimed after the election that they received a flyer. I am not claiming that they received it. I am not claiming that it is even real.
I am stating what they were claiming.
As far as the daisy wheel printer, I made that part up.
Do we have a hair across our ass today?
Your paranoia is noted.
Doesn't change the fact that the Harris campaign has been caught in lies. Lies which they have not denied telling, by the way, only which they have many excuses for.
Can't handle the truth,huh? I'm just the messenger .
If anyone has a memory problem ,it's you. I haven't forgotten all the lies or closed up my mind .
Don't forget their "Diesel"!??!
Will Republicans stay home and not vote for her?
Will Democrats make a special trip to the polls to vote against her?
Will Independents care enough to actually vote?
My bets are no, no, and no.
It will be closer than we think...
Oh--that's rich. I suggest you stick to facts, highball. By the way--are you supporting liberal Bill Nelson in the U.S. Senate race? An honest answer will suffice.
Although she wasn't my choice in the primary, she now has my 100% support.
Well, there was the time Harris said she'd put $X million (ten, I think?) of her money into the race. Then she took it back.
And the hangar incident, where Harris blamed poor turnout for a campaign rally on the fact that the hangar where it was originally scheduled to be held had been damaged and they had to change locations. Except ... no hangar had been damaged, and they had never changed locations.
Look up the refs yourself.
Here's one claim: Voter Intimidation Mathews Bridge Southbound , Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida As going to vote, firetruck had Bush-cheney signs. Heard about the north side group of elderly voters told "republicans vote today, Democrats vote tomorrow". african American voters pulled out of line and questioned for 20 minutes - only 5 black in predominantly white area.
Please note I said claim. There is no proof this happened.
LOL. Thanks for the clarification.
Uhh...take another look at who is attacking her. It's not the "real, true conservatives."
