Had the Bush father had the same cajoles as the son by putting democracy into Kuwait after the first Iraq war, we wouldn't have seen these photos and much would have different in the Middle East!??!

I have been saving links as I came across them, but have not put them all in one place like this. Outstanding tool!
I was never in combat, but I was offered a chance to go to OCS just as NAM was starting. I did a study on how to predict who would make it and who would not.
There are two classes of men who tend to not make it. The first class are men who are not sure of themselves. They always have to double think everything they are going to do before they do it. In war they just don't get out of the way in time. They are overly afraid of getting killed and as a result they get killed.
The second class of men who get killed are danger seekers. They go out of their way to court danger. They have to live on the knifes edge. It is almost like they want to die.
The third type wants to serve, but they are neither indecisive or huge risk takers. They may be very brave but they do not take foolish chances. They tend to come back home safe and sound. I don't know what is is worth, but I spent quite some amount of time looking at your sons picture.
He does not have a death wish and he is not indecisive. He is just a brave young man ... He will make it home to you. Just don't hold it against him if, when he comes home, he sees his girl friend first.

Common Tator has put sound advice to paper. It would be beneficial to pass it on to your son. Having a Mom like you; however, makes me think he would have come to this same conclusion himself, though ;-) <--a little Mom compliment to help you realize you've done a GREAT job with your wonderful son!

I'm going to make a sign for my car's back window that gives says "The Path to 9/11" - 8 PM on ABC...just to add more advertising to this VERY important show.
