Last week, Sen. George Allen personally apologized to a staff member of his Democrat opponent, James Webb, for calling him a "macaca." This was the latest in a string of public apologies for what has been described as a racial slur aimed at individual who is of Indian descent.
The moral outrage pouring from the media and Democrats was heartwarming. It was reassuring to see that such expressions of bigotry by any party, politician or political organization (or movie actor) will not be tolerated.
So no doubt the media and the Left will soon turn their attention to the vicious anti-Semitism the followers and members of a political organization that donates millions to Democratic candidates and uses the Web to whip up support for its policies.
I am referring to Moveon.org; an entity that claims it is merely the vehicle of "real Americans — from carpenters to stay-at-home moms to business leaders — we work together to realize the progressive vision of our country's founders." To the extent that Moveon.org is a reflection of its membership, it is also a reflection of the opinions and sentiments it shares about its fellow Americans and citizens of the world. And boy do the Moveon folks hate Jews.
Perhaps hate is too weak a word. William F. Buckley Jr. wrote an article in 1991 exploring the question of whether Pat Buchanan was an anti-Semite (The answer: yes.) Mr. Buchanan called Jewish supporters of Israel its "amen corner" and a fourth (or was it fifth?) column undermining American global interests. But he never called them "Media owning Jewish pigs" or "sneaky Jewish sympathizers!" Both can be found repeatedly on the Moveon.org Action Forum.

He hasn't apologized, and as far as anyone knows Webb is still employing people to stalk Republican candidates who have a Jewish mother or father.
Most Leftists understand embracing anti-Semitism will help them with their newest interest group: the burgeoning number of American Muslims. Besides, Jews are fair game because so many of them are well educated and well off. Like white males, Jews are fast becomming a group that it is safe to denigrate. And they are the perfect punching bag: they are polite, civilized, well-behaved, and guilt-ridden. When Jews get dissed, they usually don't riot or go on rampages. It will only get worse. Any Jew that tries to remain a liberal will be required to denounce Israel or their own culture in order to "belong"--all the while their liberal friends will snicker behind their backs.
Jews need to wake up, task stock, and change their ways--quick.
George Allen quite simply made a slip of the tongue. It happens and doesnt prove anything about his feelings for Indian-Americans. I doubt he even realised what he said.
Yeah it shouldnt have happened , but it did. the papers blew it out of all perspectiv like they blow out everything republicans say while ignoring democrat slips of the tongue.
With the Dems it's not just a slip of the tongue. They mean it. Even now the wealthier Dems are buying stock in Topf und Soehne

Webb said the flier was not intended to disparage Miller's religion or heritage and apologized if it was perceived that way.

It's not only a non-apology apology, when you use classical stereotypes you know what you're doing.
But he said he didn't see that, therefore you're wrong. And anyone who says different is an evil Zionists bent on world domination.

He's the third soft fascist the Dems have run in Virginia in the last 4 years. 2 were for Governor (and they won). Webb's got the antisemitism part down and I would imagine he thinks he's going to get a landslide out of fundamentalist portions of Southside.

With the exception of Pat Pukechanon, all of the Jew haters are in the Democratic Party now.
Too bad these people are too young to remember the Carter administration. He was their kind of guy!
