CABLE RACE: CNN TAKES RATINGS CROWN ON VOTE NIGHT:
CNN 3,298,000
FOXNEWS 3,068,000
MSNBC 1,648,000
I’ve been watching some of CNN’s coverage. Even MSNBC sometimes. As long as they stick to reporting and don’t go political they can be better than FNC sometimes.
Hmmmm — John F. Kerry just endorsed Obama.
Bloggers form theory that New Hampshire vote was rigged ^ |

Posted by rface On 01/10/2008 9:51:50 AM EST · 2 replies Dallas Morning News ^ | 01.10.08 | KAREN BROOKS ...bloggers across the nation keyed into the fact that 81 percent of New Hampshire votes were being counted on machines that an HBO documentary alleged are easily hacked......... AUSTIN The results weren't even in when the blogosphere started to hum with a theory that sharply divided Democrats online: Barack Obama lost to Hillary Rodham Clinton in New Hampshire because the vote was rigged. From Americablog.com to Crooks and Liars to several news blogs, readers posted their concerns drawing the gleeful eye of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday morning, who pointed to a debate raging on... |
Just like Kerry, to be a day late. I mean, his endorsement might have meant something in New Hampshire, but right before South Carolina????? The voters there are probably LOL.
The one not laughing though, is John Edwards. Poor pretty Breck girl is no doubt fuming that his old running mate would pull such a stunt right before his homestate South Carolina vote. Would seem as if Kerry was twisting the back stabbing knife after Edwards was already dead.
Apologetic late sleeper ping this Friday morning.
Is the election over yet?
Good grief, F&F is soon just going to have its females go topless.
Turned Joe off to get rid of Huckabee.
LOL. The bottom banner calls Deborah Lafave a “noted educator.”
Okay, I have to turn Joe and crew off.
Fred Thompson is just shilling for John McCain because he wants a position in his administration????
Happily, F&F has a graphic of the NYT stock slide.
Oops, now I have to turn them off because here’s Geraldo.
Scarborough: 'Pathetic Lapdog Thompson, Hatchet Man for McCain' ^ |

Posted by governsleastgovernsbest On 01/11/2008 7:30:55 AM EST · 51 replies NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein Scratch Joe Scarborough from the list of those praising the performance of Fred Thompson at last night's South Carolina debate hosted by Fox News. With panelists Willie Geist and Mika Brzezinski in supporting roles, the Morning Joe host went off on Thompson today with stunning vitriol, calling "Freddie boy" "pathetic," a "lapdog" and a "hatchet man" for John McCain. JOE SCARBOROUGH: Last night it was so painfully obvious that Fred Thompson went to John McCain yesterday morning [affecting deep Thompsonesque voice] "if I can stay awake through this debate, I'll attack Huckabee for you." Think I'll post my comments there.
Watched a replay of Anderson Cooper where they had a segment about racist articles in Ron Paul's newsletters in the 1990s. He showed a clip of Ron Paul disowning these newsletters but one of them referred to his own hometown in Texas. Busted.
The Morning Joe crew also went after The View panel because they went after Chris Matthews and some comments he made about Hillary before NH primary.
Speaking of NH. Kucinich says he'll ask for recount.
Kucinich, who won 3,901 votes Tuesday to take fifth among Democrats, cited unexplained disparities between ballots counted by hand and those by machine.
The Clintons wouldn't try to pull the voter fraud card again would they?
Have you noticed Morning Joe crew’s attitude towards Gov. Huckabee has changed? Yesterday I thought I heard Scarborough refer to him as Gov. Huckup. I thought that was offensive. Today I find out that Mika has a real problem with something he said about his wife being subservient to him. Joe was tweaking her on that subject.
I think it was Mika that said the Clintons should be real careful about this race issue. Even if she wins she may lose the black support in November implying that they might just stay home. I’m enjoying this little tiff.
One thing that alarmed me yesterday was that either Pat Buchanan or Bob Novak said that in 2000 McCain won Michigan against Bush because of crossover voting in the primary. Something like 17% of his votes came from dems or undecideds that year. Man we have to fix this primary system.
One thing Joe said today. 52% of the delegates will be determined on Super Tuesday. Feb 5th I believe.
I was noticing this morning that when Mika and Joe were discussing Michigan’s economic problems, Mika leaned toward McCain’s position and Joe supported Romney.
I personally hope Michican can come back, and I just did my part by buying a new Mercury.:)
...In 2000, McCain lost Michigan by a huge margin among Republicans, who favored then-candidate George Bush by more than a 2 to 1 margin. By contrast, McCain won big among independent voters, winning two-thirds of them, and even bigger among Democrats who chose to vote in the Republican primary.
At the end of the day in 2000, McCain won Michigan by about eight points, breathing life back into his campaign temporarily...

Ironically I just found this on the Daily Choas: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/1/10/2713/87225/55/434206
Now here’s the thing — without a real Democratic contest on the ballot, and a lack of party registration in Michigan, this is an open primary. Anyone can pick up a Republican ballot. So Michigan Democrats and independents who want to see the Republican battle royale continue should just take a few minutes on Tuesday, January 15th to cast a ballot for Mitt Romney in the Republican primary.
I don’t understand why Republicans are allowing Democrats to vote in our primaries. It’s cutting our own throats.
Oh I hope someone asks about his drug use on the debates tonight in Vegas. Brian Williams better bring up the race issue tonight too. (Oh please, keep the coals burning)
I am enjoying the fish in this left wing tank eating each other.
Mika and Joe are getting a lot of face time. While you can never tell where Joe is going I would just love to punch Mika in the face but I don't dare because she is helping the Rebs so much. She is taking over from her Woody Woodpecker father.
Mercury, great car - a Ford with soul.
Throughout this campaign that's the group McShame has been relying on to pull him forward as they did in New Hampshire. I'm convinced if the media didn't hype the Obama surge in NH, I doubt the indies would have gone his way as his stance on war does not parallel their beliefs. Romney should remind voters that he has received more GOP votes than all of the candidates combined thus far. Winning a silver medal just doesn't cut it.
Shame on the dems for interferring in our primaries, except for tonight (LOL) as I'd love to see a fractured McShame going into SC. Perhaps only then will Thompson remind voters that McShame and Huckabee are clones regarding immigration, closing Guantanamo, and tax cuts.
Dinner must be interesting in their household over the holidays. I believe her father has endorsed Obama and not clear who her brother is working for but I thought I heard it was Romney. Anyone know?
Believe it or not, this Mercury Sable and the Ford Taurus were rated the safest cars in America, beating out the Lexus!
